LO #2 is a boy and so we have been tossing around names for a while. DD's name is Kaia Lynn so we want something that will feel the same (I.e. non traditional) but be easier than her name (we weren't thinking about how hard of a time people would have pronouncing and spelling it)
So, the front runner is Asher Allan.
The middle name isn't going to change... It's a family name and really important to DH so I guess we have to find a well matching first name.
Thoughts?

I like the pairing and the name! Archer & Crosby are other names that I think pair well with Allen too.

I would say that Asher and Kaia are both not traditional, but Kaia is unique where Asher is super trendy to me, so to me they don't go really well together.

I love Asher and have since I was a teenager. J was very nearly an Asher. I was little put off by the sudden jump in popularity the last couple years, but it's such a sweet name.

I like it! I like Asher more than Allen but since Allen is non-negotiable I like it overall.
I know of one Asher, whose almost 2. I personally don't think names have to go together or match in every single way, so I think this works with your DD's name.

@Mrs Hedgehog: I guess to me popular and trendy are two different things. We are leaning towards Daniel for our son which is a very popular name, but it's classic to me as opposed to trendy. It's totally up to you and I think Asher is a cool name, I just wanted to point out that trendy is the "vibe" it gives me.
This article was interesting as it ranked names based on most interest by parents researching names as opposed to most actual babies given a name and Asher was number 1

@Truth Bombs: I see your point and as you can tell by Kaias name I try to avoid popular or trendy names. I told DH about your link and he got sad and wound up saye "screw it, looks like we will just have a trendy kid." Lol
