I am having some anxiety lately over some situations going on that is preventing me from sleeping well. I was doing a search on natural remedies for anxiety and ran across kava and valerian root. Seems there is a lot of controversy over kava and studies stating it might affect your kidney. I plan to call my doctor and run both by her, but I was curious if anyone has any experience with either?

I will add that my issue is not falling asleep...it's going back to sleep if I wake up in the middle of the night (which I always do at some point).
