Things are okay here. I'm pretty tired though! I'm hoping DH will get a job offer from his old company today, he has work but is technically between jobs and it's a little scary!
So far we have no weekend plans but if we get the call we're hoping for, maybe we'll go out and celebrate!

I'm super tired, as I have pregnancy insomnia, so that sucks, but other than that, things are ok here! This weekend I'm hoping to get the painting in the nursery finished (fingers crossed!), so we can start putting the room back together. Other than that, nothing exciting planned!

Well after two sets of X Rays and seeing three doctors they have decided I didn't break my elbow - which is good. But they don't know what is wrong with it - which kind of sucks. I still have pretty limited use of the whole arm so DD and I are headed to my mom's for a long weekend. DH is working 10 days straight and I need help.
Other than that things are going well. DD's language is just exploding every day and it is amazing!

@catgirl: ugh! I hope you get some answers soon! I know that's frustrating.

@FaithFertility: I've been there! Maybe you can squeeze in a nap this weekend. Thank you for the prayers.

@Mrs. Sunshine: Yes, DD is at daycare so napping with DS is on my agenda

@catgirl: Oh no!
My daughters broken arm is healed up, but we need to decide if we want to send her for one more xray next week. I really dont want unnecessary x rays!

Hey all! Not a bad week here, quite eventful. LO2 is potty training and LO1 rode the bus for the first time yesterday. Also, two snow/ice days this week so it's been kind of a slow week...

Im at work, I got my sides mixed up this morning and fed 2 sessions on the left and now my right is rock hard! Going to try to pump extra so I dont get mastitis.

@Bao: this time last week it was 10 degrees out several mornings in a row. Today the high is like 78. Not that I'm complaining necessarily!

@Mrs. Sunshine: Florida has been the same! Saturday though Tuesday was below freezing in the mornings and now its back up to almost 80!

@T.H.O.U.: it's so crazy! I still don't have a winter wardrobe because I buy 2 things then skate by until the next year. I basically just wear the same 2 outfits when it's cold out! Lol
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@Mrs. Sunshine: I have one pair of riding boots and other than that, ballet flats and pumps.

I just noticed this morning the other little baby girl in my daughters class is named EVAN ROSE.
I love the name Evan but not sure I could have pulled it off for a girl.

@catgirl: ugh. I know how bad elbow injuries that aren't breaks feel. I hope it heals quicker than you're expecting.

It's 60 degree in NY, say what! It rained last night, so I'm hoping the playground dries up by the time DD is home from daycare and if the stars align and I have a break from nursing my newborn I can go out with her for some bonding time!

I'm so, so glad schools were open today. Our daycare follows the county school system and they've been closed for 3 days for ice. We got the storm Friday night. Today it's going to be 70 degrees. Just crazy.

Trying to get a little work done before redeeming my birthday present from dh, a prenatal massage and pedicure! Otherwise things are good, trying to get things checked off the to-do list before baby comes. I'm 36.5 weeks, so it's getting really close!
No big plans for the weekend, except I'm the class parent for lo's daycare class and planned a playdate for all the kiddos. It's at someone else's apartment building though, so I'm not too stressed about it. I organized one in the fall in the common room in our building and it was like planning an extra bday party. This one is more low-key--I got materials for 1 art project, as opposed to 3 (what was I thinking?? lol), got the paper goods (food is potluck otherwise), and arranged for a friend to lead toddler yoga It should be fun!

@T.H.O.U.: I LOVE Evan for a girl and actually know an adult woman with that name. @nana87: ahh, I hope you enjoy! DH gifted me a massage for Christmas. It was delightful. @Freckles: WTF? That sounds absolutely terrible! I'm dreaming of warmer weather for you!
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@nana87: That sounds like a lot of fun! Enjoy your pedicure, youre close to the end! Anything else on your to-do list for before baby?
@Freckles: OMG no way i could handle that.

@Bao: @Mrs. Sunshine: thanks!
@T.H.O.U.: oooh the pre-baby to-do list just never seems to end, lol. some work things to tie up, but mostly organizing baby things like old bottles. but, I've sort of done all I can do without dh doing stuff--like I'm waiting on dh to clear off a shelf in our bedroom so I can set up a changing station in our room. Also, organizing toys seems futile since lo1 keeps dumping out every single toy bin... Also, dh's name is Evan, and there have been times when I made a reservation under his name or something (like to get points on Opentable or something) and people have thought it was MY name and been like "I love that!" haha.

@snowjewelz: Those park bonding times are the best these days!!!!!!!!!!
We now go outside on the porch and look for the moon and just chat! It is WONDERFUL!
I hope you can go today!
@Freckles: OMG -23?!?!??!?!?
honeydew / 7444 posts
@FaithFertility: @Mrs. Sunshine: @T.H.O.U.: People always say, "oh you must be used to it" but seriously, NO ONE gets used to it. Yesterday was about 8F but the winds were at 22 mph and blowing snow like crazy. I'm so jealous of you bees in warmer cities!!
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@nana87: Oh yes all the baby gear!
We actually just moved her last month to the nursery so I need to decide what to do with the "changing station" we have in our room. It seems bitter sweet to have her move all her things to her room as well.
I think we finally figured out our bottle dilemma so I'm excited to reorganize that. She's getting Comotomo bottles, we are keeping the Lifefactory glass bottles for scalding and my older daughter to take to school, and then I've got the Medela bottles to pump into. But all those other ones can go!
honeydew / 7444 posts
@nana87: Toddler yoga should be fun! My DS is 2 but he loves copying my moves. DD is older but she's been doing yoga at school since 3.5

@Freckles: Umm yeah that is wayyyy to cold.....I am not even going to tell you my temp then......lol
honeydew / 7444 posts
@FaithFertility: Haha, i basically assume that everyone else is enjoying life in more reasonable temps!
cantaloupe / 6171 posts
@T.H.O.U.: aww the big move to the nursery! I'm excited for the changing station in our room. lol is that a weird thing to be excited about??? we were gifted a keekaroo and I'm excited to see it in action after hearing great things about it here plus, it'll look nicer to have an organized little station than what's currently on that dresser--massive piles of dh's things that he leaves out! For bottles, we just used Medela for lo1 so I hope lo2 takes them too, it was just easy...I think I want to replace all the nipples though still.
@Freckles: we've done toddler yoga a few times with this friend, it's so fun! mostly involves making animal noises, haha. It should be fun to do with her classmates, it's a really sweet group of kiddos

Update: we got the call; DH got the job! We figured he would be nothing is a safe bet. It's such a relief!
