DH will be gone starting tomorrow through Thursday evening late. I am internally (and externally to an extent) freaking out. How the hey am I supposed to manage with a nearly 17 month old and a nearly 4 month old?
Advice? Support? Hugs? Alcohol?

What up their nap schedules? Do they do playdates together well?

I am sure you will do great! Solo parenting seems daunting, but you'll be too busy to think about it. I would go grocery shopping today and meal plan. Food and cooking is the biggest pain in the butt for me.

DH travels and I solo parent quite a bit.
I've figured out what works for us and sometimes I feel like solo parenting is easier than having my DH around!
My kids are 21 months apart though..
I don't have too much advice, but don't be afraid to sit your son in front of the tv/ipad if you need to put the baby down for a nap or feed her!
And it's okay if your DD cries a little while you're tending to your son!
Good luck

@mrbee: H's nap schedule is established - nine to eleven, three to four - but he's been known to sleep more or less. I think he's about to transition from two naps to one. Em doesn't really have a nap schedule yet. She sleeps when she wants.
As for play dates, we don't know any other moms with young children.
@Andrea: I think that's my biggest fear right now is cooking more than anything. I scrape by on breakfast, do okay during lunch, but suppers are DH's specialty.

OH! Stock your fridge and pantry before he leaves!
Do you have family that can come by and help a little?

@chopsuey119: No, my parents are about an hour away and those his parents live closer (30 minutes away), they left town today and aren't expected back until next weekend. I have a few friends you might stop by but otherwise I'm alone.

@NaturallyCathy: maybe he can cook a few things tonight for you to freeze? I did crock pot dinners when DH was traveling. It's like barely cooking. I love it.

Wine for when they go to bed. Maybe some frozen meals you can just throw in the oven for yourself.
Hope the week goes good.
