We had no intentions of getting another pet right now, but there are some kittens in need (they were abandoned in a Rubbermaid tub on a deserted road) so we want to take one in! He/she will have their first round of shots and will be fixed before we get to bring him/her home. We have a four year old female cat and we are worried about introducing another cat to her. If anyone has any tips on how to make this a smooth transition for our other cat and any other tips on kitten care, please let me know!

Also, our current cats litter box is all the way in the basement which is three levels down from where we all sleep, wondering if that will be an issue in the beginning for a kitten? We could always keep the kittens box elsewhere in the meantime if need be. We have a few weeks still to figure out details
