Last year we had an adorable SKR pair that they don't have in stock. The toms boots look cute but I'm skeptical of durability. Any bees have suggestions on cute durable pairs that will look good with leggings on my son! He's in a 7 maybe 8 for fall

I've bought super cute leather boots from the Gap for my daughter. I think they might have cute options for boys, too? The quality was good (lasted all winter) and they appeared to be very comfy.

We have Elmo rain boots (galoshes type, unknown brand), boots from Carter's, Uggs and Stride-Rite leather boots - all have held up well. The leather boots in particular were worn almost daily all fall/winter and still look great.

@pinkcupcake: Oh! That's really nice to know! I just bought a pair from BG for K this Fall.
I was going to suggest the TOMS Paseo too. Maybe baby Timberlands?

Can you get Bobux footwear in the States? We have a par of Bobux boots and they've been great!

@Anagram: they have heaps of cute styles and I think we're now on our seventh pair (we've had soft soles, sandals, maryjanes and boots)

@Kemma: they are cute, but the USA site has extremely limited sizing @yoursilverlining: stride rite only has cute leather boots for babies - toddlers they're all hiking!
@shopaholic: I don't know if he could walk in those, LOL! The toddler ones have the same thick sole as the adult - I just peeked at them.
@pinkcupcake: I don't see any.. maybe they will release them later?

This is the pair we had last year; I guess I wish I could just order them in his toddler size now! http://www.amazon.com/See-Kai-Run-Sawyer-Toddler/dp/B00BBACQIW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407804037&sr=8-1&keywords=see+kai+run+brown+boots

@scg00387: I plan to get a pair of bog boots!
Eta that might be more "snow boot"y than you what tho.
honeydew / 7687 posts
@hilsy85: yeah, we have bogs for rain - I've heard they don't actually stay waterproof in snow? But I'm going to wait and see before I buy different snow boots. I want something leather and simple.... but apparently no one thinks toddlers should wear those, only babies

I suggest uggs for day to day and warmth. Rain boots make my feet cold, so unless it's a downpour and I know my girl is going to be out walking around a lot, I try to not to put her in them because I figure they'll make her feet cold too. For snow, I put her in snow boots from stride rite. Other than that, I have a pair of moto boots from baby gap that's just so freaking cute and she hasn't complained about them, so baby gap is another good bet for day to day.

@Weagle: no! I didn't know they did toddler stuff. Thanks will check at nap.

@scg00387: Kind of $$$ for kids' shoes, but if you can wait a little while you'll probably hit a sale. Or, I think desert boots are kind of gender neutral, so you can always have #2 wear them.

@scg00387: OMG! I saw the Toms boots in Synthetic Leather IRL today at Nordstrom. They are sooo cute. And look really durable too!

@shopaholic: I wish they were real leather!! I forgot we moved to a bigger town and I bet they have Nordstroms, I should go look.. thank you for thinking of me! They are freaking cute. Those might be the best bet!
bananas / 9973 posts
@scg00387: I seriously didn't know they were synthetic until I looked up the link online to share for you! Yes - they have put out a lot of Fall shoes now!

!!!!
We got the baby version of these for T. Limited sizes, but maybe you can find them somewhere? http://www.amazon.com/Livie-Luca-London-Kid-Chocolate/dp/B00BM2H1MU/ref=sr_1_26?ie=UTF8&qid=1408122672&sr=8-26&keywords=Livie+and+Luca

@Silva: omggggg those spikes!! how was the sizing? I've never seen their shoes in person.
cantaloupe / 6017 posts
@scg00387: I'm not sure yet, the boots we bought for T are in the next size up, to wear later in the fall. She is sleep right now (finally) but I can compare to another shoe if you want. They are the infant style though, with a soft sole, so I'm not sure if the sizing is different?
honeydew / 7687 posts
@Silva: yeah that'd be different! I will wrestle him down and measure his foot. I can't decide if the spikes would be too busy with busy print leggings though?
cantaloupe / 6017 posts
@scg00387: I think they'd be fine, the navy is a neutral enough color. But, as I always say, nobody should take fashion advice from a person who has worn clogs to a black tie optional wedding. So.....

@scg00387: lol. It was winter time. Whatever, nobody looks at your feet anyway, right? Right?

@scg00387: Stride-Rite has leather boots for toddlers, too. It's the "Medallion Collection" apparently (??).
Here's a link to the ones she had last year in a size 5: http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/stride-rite-kids-shoes-toddler-girls-medallion-collection-roslin-boots?ID=1107124&pla_country=US&cm_mmc=Google_Kids_PLA-_-Kids+PLA+Sale_Kids+PLA+Sale-_-18624963064_-_-_mkwid_pzPsJYgF|dc_18624963064%7C-%7CpzPsJYgF
There would be cute for a boy: http://www.striderite.com/en/medallion-collection-maxwell/12602B.html?dwvar_12602B_color=BB47509#cgid=boy-age-range-baby-&-toddler=undefined&prefn1=itemStyle&prefv1=Boots&prefn2=size&prefv2=7&start=8

erg, my pic isn't working but...
Both those come in size 7 or 8!

@yoursilverlining: those are so cute... but OMG price tag!!
@Silva: Ok, I ordered them in two sizes! I convinced @allison to do one too so we got free shipping. We both blame/thank you

@scg00387: I've been eyeing these forever! But they don't always have the bigger sizes available - but they do now

@scg00387: Yeah, luckily grandma has a shoe obsession just like LO and sprung for those!!! They were really great quality though - she wore them tons and tons and they still look great. But yeah, $$

@Silva: yeah, thanks a lot! I'm just glad I have two others to blame this purchase on.
Between these boots and my recent fall/winter toddler shopping spree, I can't wait for it to get cooler!

@allison: happy to help I love the cold weather anyway, but we had a sneak preview this week and now I really can't wait!
