We will be going to Southern California for a friend's baby's 1st birthday. Other than that, we don't have any plans. Can you recommend some toddler friendly things to do/places to go? LO will be 21 months.

Where specifically will you be and for how long? Southern California is a big place.

Legoland is fun for the littles. There's also the SD zoo and Disneyland.

We aren't looking for anything like Disney since LO is still young. I was thinking more like beaches and other family friendly every day places.

Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach. There are also lots of beaches in Newport or Laguna Beach or Huntington Beach. Crystal cove beach had tide pools that are great for kids.
