How is everyone doing this? I've been either using wipes when I'm lazy or lifting him to the sink for a hand wash but as he gets heavier and I get more pregnant that's not gonna work. Do you have a step stool or some other method?

We have a step stool. So much easier than lifting him. I also use a wipe if I'm lazy.

Step stool. And telling her that we're going to make bubbles (lather) with our hands.

we have a step stool in the kitchen and bathroom. i put rubber feet on the bottom so that it doesn't slip and slide.

I do the same as you and will for the remaining 7 weeks of this pregnancy. We have an Ikea step stool but LO is still too short to reach the sink well. I do have her kind of lean on the sink supported by my knee so it's not putting pressure on my back to hold her there.

Our sinks are SO high that even with the tallest step stool (really a learning tower) our average-height 26 mo still can't reach the faucet in the bathroom. So I pick him up and kind of sit him on the edge of the counter and wash one hand at a one for him. I'd love if he could do it himself!

We use a step stool and then I bought this (link below), that allows C to reach the water. I still have to be in there to turn the water on and off, but I could not lift him anymore.

I lift him and hold him or a couple times recently just sat him on the counter by the sink so he could reach over.

@pregnantbee: I use a step stool and one of those faucet extenders. That helps a lot!

@Freckles: I just looked up what @Mrs. Confetti: posted. That part would be cool, too. And apparently they also make a faucet handle extender that I didn't know existed! I'll have to test the set-up again, and if he still can't reach, I'll look into buying those things

@pregnantbee: how did I not realize there was a faucet HANDLE extender?! I must look into that too!

We use the same thing that @Mrs. Confetti: & @Freckles: use, it works great!

Sometimes I let my son wash his hands using the faucet for the tub, it's handy because I don't always have the chance to get the step stool out.

I really need to get a step stool but have just been holding her up to the sink usually.

we have an aqueduck, but she hates the feeling of hanging I think and PANICS if I try to hold her to wash her hands. so we use wet washcloths. she loves our step ladder though, so I may try that!!

My niece hated washing her hands because it hurt her stomach leaning over to wash them so my SIL started to let her wash her hands in the tub. She had a lot more fun and loved washing them!

@sorrycharlie: we have something similar! I got a 2 pack at Buy Buy baby. We have a stool in the bathroom and the kitchen tower in the kitchen...but the tower is so big that usually I don't bother with getting it out and just hold him at the kitchen sink.

@MrsMccarthy: We have one sink in our house that has a step stool for him to reach. Otherwise, or if we are out and about, I have LO use hand sanitizer a lot throughout the day and have him wipe his hands with wet wipes.

Sounds like step stools are where it's at. My husband is going to be thrilled that we need more furniture!
@Mrs. Confetti: ooh handy! Pun intended.
