I say it's never too early if your child shows signs! I would start by getting her a little potty and sitting her down on there before bath time every night and give her some time. If she doesn't do anyt thing, don't push it, if she does go... celebrate like crazy!

i'd say if you feel up to it, you could give it a try and see what happens!

Never too early. My 8 month old pees/poops on her potty everyday. Just buy one (Love Bjorn brand) to have in the bathroom for her to explore. You can try sitting her on it before baths for a little while. You can read her a book or give her a toy to play with if she's needs incentive to stay still for a bit Another good time to let her sit on it is right when she wakes up in the morning or from a nap. Have fun!

I agree with everyone else, it's worth a try! I was potty trained before I was 2, but not exactly sure how many months I was.

I don't think it is too early. I (along with both of my sisters) was completely potty trained--not even pull-ups at night-- by 18 months!!!

My daughter does the same thing, so we bought a little potty that she's welcome to use whenever she feels like it.

I'm currently dealing with the hell of too-early potty training in my (just turned) 2 year old niece. I nanny her one day a week, and I'm expected to participate in it, my carpets be dammed. It's really obnoxious - so please, if your child isn't ready, don't try to force them. Or if you do, at least don't expect your babysitter to want to clean poop up off the floor 3 times a day.

Just wanted to chime in that it isn't too early! I had a friend who had her baby completely potty trained by 18 months. If she's showing signs and can tell you when she's ready, go for it!
