I immediately thought of Chicago, New Orleans, and Austin before I even clicked the link! Houston is #8 and I agree with that...we do have really good food!

Hometown #1! Life definitely revolves around food.

Personally I would put NYC number one...I honestly think they didn't because it would be too cliche (I mean they pretty much said so, haha). I've been to New Orleans and they do have awesome food, but still. NYC would be my number one, cliche or not

Ha, my city made the list with a note about it having a lot of local, unusual, regional food. So true!

I've only been to a few of the top 5 cities but had great food in them all.

i couldn't button up my jeans at the end of my new orleans trip! food is definitely great there but i like a wide variety of ethnic food so los angeles and new york edge out new orleans for me!

@Mrs. High Heels: I was thinking the exact same thing! I can't believe Vegas didn't make the top 10, and that LA wasn't higher. LA probably has the most buzzy restaurant scene in the country right now, and Vegas is like a who's who of top chefs from around the world, plus a TON of great ethnic food off-Strip.

I've been to 10 of the top 12 and have lived in both Boston and San Francisco. Philly does not deserve to be top 10, IMO, and I'm not sure about Seattle either. And although New Orleans is my absolute favorite place to travel in the US, I don't think it deserves the top spot - there's just not enough variety. I'd probably put it at #4, and shift NYC, Chicago, and SF each up a spot (and maybe reverse SF and Chicago...I'd have to think about that one).

I've been to all of the top 10! I'm surprised Atlanta isn't higher than 15. We have so many different cultures around here that it makes for great food.

What they said about Austin is so true, you can eat tacos for any meal of the day! I would eat tacos all day long if I could. They are so damn delicious. Lol.
