What are your top favorite home items? Which are the things you can't imagine going back to not having/using?

1 - dishwasher. I didn't have one anywhere I lived until I was thirty. Now, it will always be on my "must" list.

3 - well seasoned cast-iron skillet (even though it can not go in my beloved dishwasher)

4 - heated mattress pad. I had no idea they even existed until about 4 years ago. A friend mentioned them to me, and now I recommend them to everyone.

5 - Bac Out enzyme stain/odor remover. http://www.amazon.com/Biokleen-Bac-Out-Eliminator-Enzyme-Cultures/dp/B001OI0YWG I have pets and a stinky sweetie, not kids. But, this is still very useful. I also enjoy that the Amazon description for it has a typo indicating you should blot the stain with "dry rage" -- often quite descriptive of how I feel when I need to use it.
