I just had to put my almost 13 year old dog down. We had to put our 2 year old down last November. I feel horrible because my husband is stuck at work and couldn't be there. Today is a day I am thankful I have family close. I called my parents who then called my brother to command help and drive.
Last night I noticed her left eye sudden to went very droopy and would not open, then this morning she was throwing up constantly for over an hour, I have never seen that much puke. Then she threw up a huge amount and fell over and went really stiff for about 5 seconds. She then got up and was dazed. I called my parents at this point. I knew what they were going to say but I couldn't do it by myself.
We took her to the 24/7 emergency vet on the other side of the city and put her down. I got to cuddle on the floor with her the whole time.
She has always been my dog even though I got her wheni still lived at my parents. She moved out with me and has been by my side for the last 12.5 years. She is my baby
