Please recommend toy cars or trucks for a toddler. DD seems to love cars at daycare and this is more DH's realm, but he hasn't had much time to look.

I'm liking all of the Early Learning Centre's toys but they don't ship to where I'm at
On a side note: eBay UK seems to have tons of ELC toys for free with pick-up! Could be worth looking into if you're a UK bee

@SugarplumsMom: while I really like Green Toys trucks, I have found a bunch of trucks at consignment sales and yard sales that my daughter likes just fine, for much cheaper.

For us anything goes! We have matchbox cars, we have trucks that make noises, we have metal trucks, we have plastic trucks - all are well loved by both DD and DS!!
My mom has an amazing thrift store near her where she got Tonka trucks for $1.99!!! Cant beat that!

We have one Green Toys truck and a bunch of Hot Wheels.

Bruder. My son is OBSESSED with trucks right now and he will not tolerate ones that do not look like the real machines.

I just passed by another one: Bruder. They are really expensive (and huge!), so it took me a long time to pull the trigger on buying that truck, but it's definitely worth it! My son loves it.
Also, as for realism on the cheap, Matchbox actually does a decent job with its cars and planes. My chief complaint is that we've got a B-2 that is painted metallic gold with flames. Seriously, Matchbox?! What's wrong with matte black?

L is only 14 months but he loves the B. Wheee car and truck set. If you pull them back, they roll by themselves.
