Loving these 80s/90s threads! Rainbow Brite, Care Bears, Cabbage Patch Kids, Glow Worms, Barbies, Polly Pocket, Beanie Babies, American Girl, Skip It, Slap Bracelets (guess it's not really a toy..) Toys were better back then!!

I loved Care Bears, Popples, Rainbow Brite and Pound Puppies. We never had a Teddy Ruxpin, but we had a Big Bird that was sort of the same concept. It would read us Sesame Street books and it's beak and eyes would open and close. Creepy in retrospect but we loved that thing!

I agree, I hate all the faces on stuff now. So animated and leaves nothing to the imagination.

@Rubies: Omg I had an easy bake oven for a few short days but my mom made me return it before I even got to open it... One of the biggest disappointments of my life!! Also my sticker book was my prized possession...
Also loved my cabbage patch dolls..

I loved my Rainbow Brite, Cabbage Patch Kid, Barbies, and My Little Pony. I also liked Strawberry Shortcake, but I don't remember having any of the toys, just sneakers. I also loved Tamagotchi, even though I was kind of old when those came out.

Totally Hair Barbie, Baby Alive, Kitty Surprise... All favorites!
I desperately wanted this cash register/conveyer belt toy, but never got it!! I still remember how much I wanted it. It would beep when you scanned the items, and the little conveyer belt was battery operated. I blame not getting this toy on why I got a job as a grocery store cashier at 15, ha!

@Rubies: I love all of those! But I never had an Easy Bake Oven either and want to get one for Lady M (secretly so I can play with it!) I also loved Strawberry Shortcake, Fashion Plates, Colorforms and those Shrinky Dinks that you would put in the toaster over.

@Pepper: my nana still has that!!! She saved all my toys (I'm the oldest) & all my cousins played with them. Now Chloe does!

@travellingbee: Yes! I loved those and think I have some of the same ones in my old sticker books.
Do kids still have sticker books? And fortunately my parents still have all my cabbage patch, care bears, etc so I can't wait to share with M!

I've wondered about letting my LO play with my old baby toys. I doubt the plastics back then were bpa free and I wonder if over time the plastic is breaking down...? My mil gave DS some old little chew-toys of DH's and I've worried about letting him play too much with them. Anyone have any thoughts on that?
