Yup, for the first one I framed our personalized vows.
Second, I got him a cotton hammock with stand.
Third, we actually said no gifts but I would have gotten him a UP styled leather adventure book off Etsy.

@lovehoneybee: would he wear a leather cuff? There are some really nice ones on Etsy.

@Adira: that's so sweet your mom celebrates your anniversary. Mine always remembers the day after when she calls for my bday.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: @lovehoneybee: I'm guessing because me and my brother have always gotten THEM something for their anniversary, so now that I'm married, I get something for mine!

1st--paper: I got him a laser cut paper print with a lyric from our first dance song
2nd--cotton: a robe
3rd--leather/crystal: I'm getting him a set of crystal whisky tumblers.

@lovehoneybee: 3rd is leather OR crystal/glass (in the "modern" list). I'm going with crystal because I can't think of anything leather!

We are not good at gifts, but we got our 1st iPhones for our 3rd anniversary this summer. So definitely not traditional!

Yes, we rotate which person gets the traditional gift. We also choose between traditional or modern gifts.

1st: he got Mets NLCS tickets (paper)
2nd: I got a Burberry rain coat (cotton)
3rd: he got a baseball glove and a signed David Wright ball (leather)
4th: I got a kitchenaid stand mixer (appliances)
5th: he got a silver Movado watch (silverware... silver wear. get it?)
6th: I got a Movado watch (iron... this was a stretch)
7th: he got an LL Bean sweater (wool)
8th: this year we plan on getting ourselves a king sized bed (linens)

ETA: I'm excited for the 10th because it's my turn and the modern gift is diamond jewelry. Score!!! haha.)

@locavore_mama: hehe. I swear, we decided to do this on the 3rd anniversary and the first 2 just happened to fit the criteria. It's meant to beeeeee!

@lovehoneybee: he loved it!! I hid the ball inside the glove so he thought the glove was the whole gift. Then he turned it over and saw the ball!

@shopaholic: lol as I was typing it out I thought of your dh! I even wrapped it in the team colors, blue and orange!

We have sort of stuck with the Anniversary List, until this year. Honestly, it gets harder to remember which gift was for what now!

1st: (Paper) DH gave me a bunch of Love-themed books, with love notes written in each one. Still makes me teary-eyed when I think of it. I was at a loss (and poor). I gave him is "paper" pictures of his bachelor party fishing trip framed and matted for his office.
2: (Cotton) Cotton boxers that I hand-embroidered with a heart and our initials (only part of the gift). I got lingerie. Go figure.
3: (Leather) Vintage Gold Omega watch with Leather straps. I got a gorgeous quilted KS purse.
4: This one seems confusing because we have something that says "Linen". Other sites said Fruit/Flowers or Appliances. DH ventured away from the list and got me a diamond anniversary ring. I forget what I gave him!
5: (Wood or Silverware) A stretch from me, but I got him a "silver-tone" Hugo Boss Tie Bar. My gift was a combo V-day/Anniv gift I picked myself (a Michele watch).

I think we are done with the Anniversary gifts by year (though I'll always try to have a "little" something to keep with the theme. But I won't enforce any of the traditions till we hit 10 years!
