Our only plans are NY in July for a wedding. We usually take a lot of local weekend trips though. We'll go camping a couple of times, and who knows what else.

We plan on taking a babymoon sometime in Feb or March. We might head down to Vegas. Woohoo!! I love Vegas cause we always end up pigging out, getting massages and shopping. Can't wait! With baby #1, we went to Hawaii and it was paradise. Unfortunately we can't get away that long since we have baby #1 so we'll be taking a quick 2-day getaway, just the two of us.

we are heading to Mexico in February, when lo will be 6 months. Otherwise just a few road trips to Ottawa and Montreal.

We're planning a trip to NYC for our 1st anniversary! Other than that, we'll travel to see my family on the east coast, possibly twice.

We have a trip to Kosovo in the next couple months, but that's for work.
Then we have a short pleasure trip to Greece...
Work trip to MI, then the move to FL, then another trip to MI for a wedding. Potentially another trip to OR for a graduation, but I don't know if we'll be able to swing that one.

It was first a cruise to Europe but LO has to be 1yr for that. So it's off to the Caribbean!

We're going to Florida next month! I'm SO nervous and SO stressed out.

Wow lots of people coming to Florida!
@rubies : where in Florida are you going? We aren't flying with lo till shes 11 months and I'm already stressed out!

Driving to MD for a baptism in March.
Flying to Iowa in March for work.
Flying to Florida and Las Vegas for work in April.
No travel after that until lo is born.
First real trip away with lo: wedding in Ohio in November.

TWO weddings in Texas in April/May, two weeks apart! And then a wedding in Philly in September (it's a year of weddings for us). We also may be planning a trip to Israel and Greece, which would be exciting.

We're leaving for Punta Cana for a week on Saturday and I think that will be our only big trip this year (especially because we'll ideally be pregnant). We may make it down to Texas, where my parents live, but I'm not sure yet.

Hawaii, Switzerland, Yosemite, Germany, New Orleans and then back to Austria. Pretty typical schedule.

@Venice: That is an intense travel plan!! How do you do that with a baby??

We're planning a trip to Europe to see DH's extended family and introduce the LO. Hopefully in the spring/summer but things are still up in the air.
I didn't get to the beach this past summer so I really want to go this summer.

We're going to Boston this week for our baby shower. Then no more travel for a while, since the baby is due soon! In the summer we'll be moving halfway across the country to Iowa (does that count as travel?). Baby's first airplane trip will probably be in November to SoCal b/c I have a work commitment there. We'll also go to North Carolina for Christmas, and maybe to Wisconsin (by car) for Thanksgiving. We're already planning baby's first Europe trip to Germany in the summer of 2013.

I'd love to go to Barcelona in the next few months, we'll see.
So far we've just got one trip in May to the US, that might be it for the year as we're doing an international move this year.

I just got a new job and can't really take time off, so I probably won't be going anywhere for a while. We were planning trips to the OBX and Portland, but now DH has to go without me (work related for him, but I was going to go just for fun).
We're thinking about a weekend trip to Charleston for/around Valentine's day.
We usually do a big trip every year, and we may be able to swing something international in December. I hope so! We love to travel but just dont have the time.

We are going to Florida in May because the DH is doing a Half Ironman, but we are going to go to Disney and visit with family while we are there. My Mom is coming down with us. I can't wait! I love Disney.
I would like to sneak in one little romantic trip, even just a weekend, before the baby gets here, too!

@Rubies: No it's not close But it's pretty, we have friends there so we visit once in a while. Are you going to see family?

we just booked our flights to the Canary Islands for our (delayed) honeymoon. We're going Feb 16 to the 24th - I'll be *just* out of the first trimester. So excited.
Other than that I might go up to my mom's for a visit (she lives about 8 hours away) here and there. I definitely want to make it up for Thanksgiving although LO will be just under 2 months old by then, so we'll see.

@artbee: Oh, darn. My friend's baby was born two weeks before LO and so we're all going together (with our hubs', too! First family vacation). She has a friend who has a condo in Naples and we're renting it for a week. I'm excited to get some sun! It's so dreary and cold in Toronto!
GOLD / wonderful grape / 20289 posts
@Rubies: Fun! Hopefully our weather will stay warm for you... we have our cold fronts but so far the winter has been very warm. Today I'm in a sun dress and flip flops

We definitely need to go somewhere warm, so I've been researching St. Lucia and Antigua!

Hoping to go to a wedding in Vancouver in October, to visit family in New Brunswick in the summer, and maybe cottage country for a week with friends some time in there. If my parents end up buying a condo in Florida, I'll probably lake LO down for a trip.

@sunshine44: We just plan it out and pack well. A lot of the issues that some people have are real non-starters for us. Things like diapers. Lo and behold they make diapers in other countries so we don't pack a ton and buy there. He's got an awesome Kelty carrier that has a backpack so his stuff can go in there and it's easy to carry him. We also co-sleep if there isn't a crib available at the hotel, so we don't pack anything like that. Honestly it's about as much work getting him on a plane as it is getting my husband organized for the same trip!

@moderndaisy: st.lucia is amazing. We stayed at the Sandals resort for our honeymoon and it was a fabulous experience!
@Venice: well kudos to you for making it look so easy! We are going to mexico for a week and I've been "packing" forever to make sure I don't forget anything!

We have 2 weddings to go to in MN this summer, (we live in WI so it's not really a "trip" to us) and then we were really hoping to go to Niagara Falls at some point, but we are really strapped for money this year (school tuition!!) so we will see if we are able to

This is more of a light vacation year for us. We have a cruise scheduled for the fall with my family. We have a couple small trips planned. We just got back from spending a couple days in Dallas. We go to Louisiana several times a year as well.

=( none planned for this year. before we got pregnant, i was hoping my family (bro's family and parents) and i could go on a family vacation in 2012.... but doesn't look like that'll happen this year.

We were going to go to Hawaii for a babymoon but put an offer into a new home, so we're waiting. We'll take some shorter trips this year but with a baby coming and a 4 bedroom house purchase, we'll wait for the big vacation until next year. Trips planned: Vancouver (drivable from Seattle), Chicago and DC.
