I would pump and feed immediately if possible for the warmness factor, but I've seen car warmers online before if that's not feasible

Have you done any extended drives with them in the car? We had a trip planned to Colorado (from Wisconsin) this summer, and the plan was to drive with our 5 month old. About a month before the trip, we drove about 3 hours to visit relatives. She cried about half the time on the way there, and on the way back. There's just no way that we could do a 15 hour trip and stop every 1.5 hours. We went home and bought plane tickets and it was a wonderful trip. With paying to rent a car, gas, and hotels for several additional nights, I can't imagine you'd save much money by driving. Flying with babies is not bad at all. I've flown about a dozen times with a baby and only had one flight where there was an extended period of crying. The white noise of the plane usually puts them right to sleep.

we did a 12 hour drive when LO was 7 months and I wouldnt repeat that with a baby any younger especially not twins. It is doable but will be a stressful experience and I think by the time you arrive you will feel frazzled and not even in a wedding mood

I can't speak to the bottle feeding b/c our then 2mo wasn't taking a bottle, but we did a road trip & survived it. We planned 8hr driving days with stops ~2hrs, though this was flexible if she either was sleeping or crying early. It was a little stressful at times, but she had no trouble sleeping in her Rock n Play (which she'd been sleeping in from day 1) while on the road/at our destination. Good luck!

For what it's worth, flying with a four month old is super easy. We took our son to England (eight hours) and it was no problem.

if your husband is willing, the plane would be a lot easier and faster. the younger they are, the easier they are to fly with!

I say go for it! We took a trip when DD was 3 months old, and it was a 10 hr drive each way. It was awesome, and she slept most of it truthfully. I was EBF, and we planned our stops/meals around when she needed to nurse. Now granted I just have 1, and twins are a totally different aspect. So there's my suggestion based on 1 baby!

I think it really depends. Might be less of a pain to just do the flight?

My daughter was an angel in the car, my 1st son was OK, but my 2nd son haaaated that car at 4 months. It was terrible. Now, at 6 months he's much better but still not long road trip ready.. For him, I actually think he might do better on a plane cuz then I could babywear him for a portion.

Both of my kids have hated the car from day 1. With little babies, driving long hours sucks because they need and want to be held. Maybe if my babies had been car sleepers I'd feel differently....

Granted, I just have one and not twins, BUT at 4 months, she was sleeping on every plane ride we took. I would do that over driving if it's an option FOR SURE.

Personally I would fly or not go at all. My kids were miserable in the car at that age and made even 1 hour drives awful. I couldn't even imagine with twins - one falls asleep and the other starts screaming and wakes up the sleeping baby. No way. We flew with both our kids around 3-4 months and it was so easy. The plane makes them pass out. It was the longest out oldest LO had slept in a stretch to that point! I wouldn't worry so much about cribs because hotels usually have them. Just bring lots of sanitizing wipes with you. And have a great trip, however you do it!

I accidentally voted wrong - I think you're off your rocker lol! We flew with DD at that age and she was a dream. Slept and nursed, and we didn't have to entertain her much. We moved cross country with DD at the same age, a few weeks later so 17 hours total over 2 days. It was a nightmare, DD hated the car and got hot a lot and we constantly had to stop and nurse/change diapers and there wasn't much we could do to entertain her in the car seat at that age. Totally sucked! I'd WAY rather have a short flight than a 3 day car ride, sorry DH.

Definitely think flying would be easier. And why not just nurse them both? Pumping adds so so much more parts and complication!

Driving at that age was really really difficult (we frequently drove 2-3 hours for work and family commitments) because timing everything when all they have is BM and can't concentrate on anything else is tough. I would fly. Especially because it's a short trip.

I would fly, for sure. My SIL just embarked on a 12 hour drive ALONE with her 2 yo and 2 month old twins. Yikes! She said it was surprisingly easy, but you couldn't pay me to do it!
