Does anyone happen to know what the tolls cost to travel between DC and NYC taking 95? I've tried googling it and get conflicting numbers.
DH and I are going up for a wedding, and trying to figure out if it's cheaper to drive/train/or fly. Between parking and tolls, driving doesn't seem very cheap!

I don't know, but, depending on when you are going, traffic can be a nightmare on the summer weekends. I bet there is a toll app out there.

Take the train from Union Station to Penn Station. It is so easy and so low stress. Seriously, that is the best train ride I have ever taken.

@mediagirl: That's what DH had suggested, but it's also the most expensive option. There are flights cheaper than the train.

@mediagirl: But remember that when you fly into NYC you need to take cab from the airport which adds up quickly. I would totally take the Acela..

@Truth Bombs: the difference in cost ends up being about the cost of cabs, so we decided to fly. Our time is worth it to not drive, and the timing of flights vs. trains was preferable.

I would take a train! It might be slight more expensive than driving, but I think it would be easier. Tolls can add up quickly though, I think the GW is up to $12 or so.

I went Baltimore to CT (via the GW) and the tolls were $55 round trip I believe.
