@CupQuakeWalk: I don't really have a hunch one way or another as to what could be preventing me from getting a BFP. In jest, I like to blame DH. But in reality, Im hoping its a timing issue or something simple like a strong vitamin D deficiency that's easily fixable. Wouldn't that be great?!

@littlek: that is awesome your DH is on board with the cost of fertility treatments. Hopefully you won't need them - or much - and, if you do, it will be over soon enough and your DH can get moving with his career change.

@MrsMcD: Damn insurance! Although hopefully you will have a bfp before May and you won't even have to worry about it. Also, please let us know about the magical medicine when you find it!

@CupQuakeWalk: regarding RE appointments, I got my referral from my ob/gyn on a Monday, made an appointment with the RE that day, and saw them the following Tuesday. I hear some are really busy, but I was willing to take any appointment time they'd offer me!

@Boopers: sorry to hear you are feeling stressed! It's oh so romantic to force yourself to BD around O time when you're drained, I know. Eat those oreos without guilt, TTC is hard and you deserve a treat (says the person who has gained easily 10lbs since starting to TTC...)!

@AmeliaBedilia: HUGS! Insurance companies are the absolute WORST! I hope you're able to sort it out soon, so it is one less thing you have to think about and stress over. If it helps at all, you can think about punching your insurance company in it's ovary? Or maybe that's just what works for me

@katieleigh_82: Welcome! I hope your RE is able to help you when you see them in April!

@littlek: I had a similar convo with my husband a couple months ago about how much it's going to cost. It's hard not to feel guilt about spending money on fertility treatments, when it comes for free to so many others. That is wonderful that your DH sounds on board with the costs. Hopefully you will get your bfp soon, and he will feel more comfortable changing jobs if that's the direction he'd like to go in.

Small update from me (cross posted from the IF board): IUI scheduled for Sunday! I've got three mature follicles and we're triggering tonight. Hopefully all the injections (and cost!) will be worth it!

@Sprite: good luck with the IUI! How exciting!

@MrsMcD: Hopefully it is a simple fix.

@AmeliaBedilia: Did your tests come back clean? Unexpected high bills are the worst. It seems like you are having to pay for the same thing a few times- did they erroneously bill you?

I am waiting to ovulate.... so frustrating. I hope that with this morning's OPK that I will ovulate soon. But that makes it worse that we skipped BD last night, so I hope I still have good timing.

@Crystal: Yes, my biopsy was fine. I called customer service today and threw a fit about that and all the other issues I had. They told me if I don't hear back by Wednesday to call.
    Hugs on waiting to ovulate!

I am CD16, and I almost always ovulate on CD15. Sure enough, temp is up. We hit O-4, O-2, and O-1. I was going to try to get today in, but neither of us were in a good mood, and DH was so tired he went to bed at 7:45. I am trying to remind myself that today is unlikely to be helpful anyway.

@AmeliaBedilia: I agree, insurance companies suck, good luck hope they resolve the issues, keep fighting them!
@Crystal: I'm in the same boat, supposed to O on Sunday so just trying to get in some bd'ing!

Thanks everyone! After my post last night I had a good cry in front of DH and now I feel a lot better. All this afternoon I could feel ovulation pains on my right side. I went home and tested and got a smiley so we were able to BD when DH got home from work. I'll probably try to get at least tomorrow and maybe Sunday in and then just see what happens!

We went on a date night to see the Lego Movie and it was so good! I also treated myself with retail therapy and got a cute new purse for Spring/Summer. Feeling good about the weekend and some time away from stress

I hope everyone has a great and relaxing weekend!

@katieleigh_82: thanks! I got lots of BDing in my future!

@AmeliaBedilia: so hopeful for you! FX! I am a few days behind you now. When can you test?

@Boopers: was it good even if you don't have little kids?

@Boopers: I think sometimes we just need to let it all out, I did the same thing to my dh last week. Funny you had retail therapy and bought a purse, I did that as well a couple weeks ago when AF showed up!

@Crystal: I am not planning a POAS date. I am going to try to approach this the same way as when I was on BC. Assume AF is coming, and if I'm late, then I will POAS. With my current approach, I have been going crazy and hoping this works better.

I am second guessing my O date. If the 7 cycles I did a good job temping, 5 times I ovulated on CD15, twice CD14. My temp went up on CD16 as I expected. It went back down this morning. I have been coming down with a cold, and DH said he was cold this morning when we woke up. Do you think I O'd CD15 and had a funky temp, or that I haven't ovulated yet? CM is hard to know for sure because we've been using preseed, but I think I had EWCM CD15.

@Boopers: sounds like you got great timing! Yay!

@AmeliaBedilia: that's what I'm doing, too. The testing and waiting was making me crazy. I'm not a charter yet, so sorry I can't be of any help on that.

Omg I have a UTI (I think)! I've never had one before but based on what Google tells me, it's a UTI I have leftover antibiotics from an upper respiratory infection I never took (bad, I know) that I'm starting to take along with an OTC med for UTI pain and I hope it's relieved soon!!

I got a positive OPK yesterday, I hope that this doesn't affect our chances this month. I got sick last cycle around the same time and ended up having a short cycle, which maybe were due to meds?

My temp is down for the second day in a row. It went up on CD16 as it always does, but now down for two days. I am really upset since I thought we had really good timing, and we didn't manage to BD the last couple days. I have either a cold or allergies and am very congested. I am concerned I haven't ovulated yet (and therefore timing is poor this cycle), or I am having an anovulatory cycle. I am really hoping I ovulated CD15 as I always do and my temp is down to my cold/mouth breathing- I think this is the case but wondering if this is my crazy TTC logic. What do you think?

  18. bhbee

    cantaloupe / 6086 posts

@AmeliaBedilia: it's definitely possible it's the breathing but just hard to know. you didn't do OPKs right? I've definitely had a month where I thought I was going to ovulate based on CM, didn't see a temp rise, and then my body tried again 4 days later or so and I did see a temp rise. so you may still have time for BD if you didn't ovulate yet.

  19. Snowdrop

    pear / 1846 posts

@AmeliaBedilia: I hope the last two days are a fluke and your temp is back up tomorrow, I can usually tell post O through cm too. It goes dead dry all of a sudden. What is yours suggesting?

  20. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

@AmeliaBedilia: mouth breathing will definitely have an impact... Hopefully it goes back up tomorrow and this was a fluke.

    @Boopers: I'm sorry. That stinks.

We had dinner with one of her neighbors who is going through IUI now. I'm definitely ready to start treatments.

@littlek: I feel that way about treatments - at least then you're doing something other than waiting, right?? hope you can move in that direction soon (or just get a BFP of course!)

@littlek: I feel like I would be happy to just dump a bunch of clomid down my throat right now!!!!

So I just started temping and I have 3 random days of high temps. Will my temp be higher than usual if I lay in bed trying to fall back asleep? i wake up a lot during the night and am usually able to fall back asleep but sometimes it takes longer...so then I realize I'm just laying there and decide to temp and I think it's those days that my temps are higher than usual. What do you think?

So I'm heading into my fertile window and started taking mucinex. I'm also going to start drinking green tea. We were going to try EOD for 2 weeks after AF ended but my husband has been crazy busy at work and I've been super tired taking care of a sick LO. So we weren't able to do our EOD plan. Today is CD13 and we're planning to BD everyday up to O day which FF is projecting as CD 16...I haven't gotten a positive on my OPK yet (last time I got my smiley at CD 13)...I'm so confused. I'll go back for blood test on CD 21.

@littlek: @MrsMcD: for some reason clomid scares me but I'm definitely getting close to that point where I just want to ask my doc to prescribe me something

  25. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@sandy: I struggled temping because I wake up a LOT during the night and I can't get accurate results. We tried EOD for 2 weeks but my HSG meant we had to abstain until cd10. I don't have high hopes for this cycle.

@littlek: I'm so sorry you're feeling hopeless this cycle but at least the testing is a step towards getting some answers. Hugs friend
