Not so great news from my OB today. Low AMH (.66 to be exact). AKA low egg quantity. I'm guessing it has to be low egg quality given the losses I've had. I'll meet with my OB in a few weeks, but this is certainly not the news I was expecting.

@winniebee: I'm so sorry you got bad news. Sending lots of love to you.

The doctor I saw today said to officially go ahead and TTC again (I didn't tell her about our NTNP moment this month hah). She also did the paperwork for the referral to a specialist, which is such a relief. I think it's about three months to get in to them so if I get and stay pregnant I can just cancel.

Pee stick at 12dpo digi says positive (1-2 weeks)... but I'm still apprehensive.

@winniebee: oh that's a real shock I bet - sorry to hear it. Hopefully OB has some good next steps.

@jaguar: oh man, I'm nervous but hopeful for you.

This whole thing really sucks!! I hate that everyone on this thread even has to be here

I'm playing the "maybe I'm pregnant!" game again. 8dpo-ish, boobs are sore as eff, little bit queasy. But we literally had sex ONCE, a day before O normally is, so that can't be spectacular odds (I know it's possible but really?!). I have Wondfos coming in the mail Monday, but am debating picking up FRERs in case my crazy side takes over this weekend. I'll need them for trying again anyway, right?

@MrsDragon: That's all it takes sometimes! I have a 3 year old as a result of my first cycle "trying" with one attempt in the window I had read that people generally ovulate. (Funny that now that with baby #2 I'm 11 cycles in with timing things just right each month, charting, taking ovulation tests, etc. and no baby to show for it!). Crossing my fingers for you!!!!

@Shantuck: I'm just sitting here like man, my boobs hurt. But I have also been wearing a bralette/sports bra instead of a real bra for two days, so maybe that's why. The things I torture myself with...

Bah I caved and took a test tonight. Of course it is super-negative. I don't know why I did that to myself.

I would be surprised if I actually am pregnant! I'm trying to not be disappointed because we weren't really trying this month. I get Wondfos in the mail tomorrow (11dpo) and my period should come Wednesday at the latest. With all of my pregnancies I've seen a line at 9dpo so... I think I'm out. But it's okay. Always next month.

@jaguar sending you so many good thoughts!!

@winniebee: Tomorrow morning, but won't know results until tomorrow afternoon. This is where it all went wrong last time.. the time before that was a bit later on, the time before that was 11 weeks. So I'm just a basketcase!

@MrsDragon: Thanks chick. And for you guys all putting up with me. I feel like we'll always, always, be TTC after loss.

@jaguar: I remember that thread with all the pictures from last time; this is already different with the rapid darkening, right? I would be just as apprehensive as you are, but everything (including your LO ) started from nothing. And it seems like things are trying hard to happen over there. The not-knowing is a daily heart attack though. hang in there

@MrsDragon: agree with Shantuck, once is all it takes! but next month trying in earnest is a great plan if this one didn't work out.

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

@MrsDragon: I'm sorry Hang in there!!

@jaguar: I'm 12.5 weeks and still waiting for the other shoe to drop I don't think that goes away. But girl, that is the DARKEST line I have ever seen! Stop testing now - - betas only!

The Wondfos are out for delivery so I'm sitting here holding it until I go home, hah. Fully expecting a negative -- AF is due tomorrow or the next day, so this will just be to double-check, I think.

    @jaguar Thinking of you today!!

For others who have had a D&C and chart, did it take a long time for your cycle to return to normal? This is my first real cycle after the D&C and I had a positive opk on Friday (which was cd 17). Yesterday morning (cd 19), my temp shot up half a degree but then this morning it was back down making me thing that maybe I didn't actually ovulate. I've been charting for a year and this is the first time my temp hasn't shot up and stayed up after a postive opk. Has anybody had a positive opk and then not ended up actually ovulating? Ugh... how long is it going to take to get back to normal?!?

  27. Shantuck

    pear / 1767 posts

    @MrsDragon: Hang in there!

  28. JoJoGirl

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

@Shantuck: I stopped charting for 2 weeks after my D&C because my temps were still high, my body thought I was still pregnant I started back up again maybe 4 weeks later? And I think I ovulated, per my chart, then got my period 11 days later or so, on schedule. My charts were normal after that first period.

@MrsDragon: did you take the pic right away?

  32. mrsmacandcheese

    blogger / clementine / 985 posts

@winniebee: yeah just before five minutes -- and another one in natural light because I am crazy. I see nothing on the second one and maybe a smudge on the first? But nothing obvious at all.

  33. JoJoGirl

@MrsDragon: i don't see anything how many DPO are you?

  34. mrsmacandcheese

    blogger / clementine / 985 posts

@JoJoGirl: 10 or 11dpo (assuming 11). With an 11 day LP, too, so kinda the end of the line for waiting at least! I have no idea why the eff my boobs hurt so much which is really why I tested in the first place. Ah well.

@MrsDragon: I don't see anything. But I think 10 dpo is still early to see something on a wondfo. Good luck!

  36. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@MrsDragon: are you on progesterone? If so that could account for sore boobs :/. I thought I saw a little smudge in the first one too, but not in the second.

  37. mrsmacandcheese

    blogger / clementine / 985 posts

@winniebee: no progesterone, no. probably just a random boob hurting cycle, hah.

Welp, I have 49 more Wondfos for next month!

  38. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@MrsDragon: ugh strange. You're not out until AF shows though! I had sore boobs 3 days leading up to ovulation this month, which has never happened. Bodies are strange...

  39. mrsmacandcheese

    blogger / clementine / 985 posts

I should have my period by Wednesday at the latest -- if it's not there tomorrow AM I'll probably take another test, but I'm not expecting to be pregnant at this point.

  40. LCTBQE

    nectarine / 2461 posts

@Shantuck: that's frustrating, I hope it becomes clear to you what's going on. two things come to mind to tell you--didn't chart immediately after my D&C, but started back up the first real cycle (post-period, where you are now). before the m/c, my cycle has been textbook 26-28 days. but I didn't ovulate that first cycle back trying until CD21--I was going *crazy* looking for it. I read tons of stories of women getting delayed in their O after D&C's--it happens quite a bit. So if it didn't happen yet for you it's probably on its way.
regarding temps: I kept thinking I had ovulated before I actually did because I'd get the kinds of .5 degree spikes you described, and when I finally did ovulate the shift wasn't nearly as dramatic as it had been in the past--I finally realized it was because my base, follicular phase temp was still elevated from the old pregnancy. so watch out for that?
About the positive OPK, maybe you did ovulate and it was a fallback rise: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/courses/lesson.php?p=1;16;0;0
I have spent way too much time on fertility friend, oh my god I need another hobby.
