Has anyone of you had to deal with a tungsten ring thats too big? My husbands ring is tungsten carbide and in the summer it fits much better but in the winter its so loose on his finger that he doesnt want to wear it because it fell off once and we were lucky to find it. I hear they cant be resized. Is there anything else we can do?

I'm thinking tungsten can't be resized? I think that's what they told us when we bought DH's ring--his is a half size too big because they didn't sell the size he needed and he didn't want a different ring.

Yeah I'm pretty certain it can't be resized. Could he get another size for the winter? I know my fingers change a fair amount between summer and winter, though I can wear the same size, it's just a little tighter or looser.

They can't be resized. We had to order another.
There are ring spacers that women wear, maybe he could find one to wear in witner?

Nope. Tungsten is one-size only. It's far too brittle and hard.

I've heard the same. DH has lost a lot of weight and his doesn't got at all. It's flown off several times. It looks like he'll have to get a new one.

My husband had the same problem. We ended up having to order another in a size smaller. He still has the original since that’s THE ring but he’s much happier now with one that actually fits.

Unfortunately, it cannot be resized. DH had asked about one and they asked him what he did for a living, because they're not recommended for firefighters, etc. -- because they can't cut the ring off if needed. Anyway, he chose silver because he was planning on losing a lot of weight. I vote get another for colder months -- they're pretty cheap, right?

Thanks guys. Yes I wondered about spacers. Has anyone had luck with a ring spacer for men's rings?
@tororojo: Thats exactly why we bought the ring even thought it was slightly too big.

@Mrsbells: Haha, that's funny...I remember telling DH he was crazy and should get something similar in the right size, but he was adamant about which ring he wanted. He always takes it off and plays with it and I just know he'll lose it someday.

It can't be resized. My husband lost about 40lbs shortly after we got married and they had to take his ring and then send off for a new one to be made.

How about he buy a new one? My husband has a tungsten ring, and they aren't too expensive. That way he can keep this one for summer when it fits better!

@tororojo: Oh yeah I worry about it getting lost too! I wonder if there is something I can do at home as DIY to make it smaller. Maybe hot glue inside it? lol

@MrsBrewer: Well that particular one he has is impossible to find, and it cost about $500 and he doesnt like any others we have seen so far

@Mrsbells: I think hot glue inside would function just like a spacer. Or maybe if he eats a bunch of salty stuff his fingers will bloat.
