J is mesmerized by Bubble Guppies!

We DVR the guppies and will fast forward to a song if we need a few mins!

Sesame Street has a couple of song/dance DVDs that E likes. They are pretty good, just kids/babies and the characters.

@shopaholic: I think they're both on Nick, Jr, but we don't have cable so we watch YGG on Netflix and BG streaming through Amazon (it's free if you have Prime). I *think* Bubble Guppies in on Comcast On Demand as well.

Yo Gabba Gabba was the first show my kid actually watched. It's on nick jr, Hulu and netflix. Baby first has ebee which can be good it is also on netflix.

My daughter *loves* Yo Gabba Gabba. They basically just sing and dance through the entire show, which I think is why she loves it so much. It's the only show that she will actually sit down and watch. She is uninterested in all other TV so far.

We have direct tv and there is a baby channel that has a lot of music. We also have a channel called sprout. I've tried getting ds to watch but he isn't interested.

@shopaholic: you could also try the wiggles (PBS or sprout) or baby signing time (DVD) which my kids looove. Also they really like the Baby Boost "nursery Rhyme" series which is on Comcast on Demand if you have that (also has DVDs). That one is pure music with kids dancing and singing.

I made a YouTube video playlist of Laurie berkner and Elizabeth Mitchell music videos- he looooves it!!

And we bought a few signing time DVDs. He has learned a few signs from it and loves all the songs. These two things are the only "shows" he watches and I refuse to feel any guilt. They're educational, musical and it keeps us both sane haha.

We actually found a few YouTube videos of contemporary artists teaming up with Sesame Street and singing kids' versions of their songs. Like Jason Mraz and Train. Right now, S's favorite is "Counting to Four" by Feist! It's a must right after bath when we need him to sit still for 2 minutes while we get his diaper and PJs on!

Disney Jr is awesome! LO loves it. We leave it on in the background and all sudden she will stop and start dancing around.

@shopaholic: Zero judgment here. In the last week, I accidentally discovered that they, but F especially, really like Sesame Street during the songs and sillier parts. I DVRed it, so now I put it on for the 10-15 minutes the boys are just hanging out after they're ready but before we leave for daycare.

We have Comcast on Demand and my LO loves Baby Boost. It's under the kids section and its short videos about a variety of educational topics. She loves the "color song" and "shapes song" they are 10minutes long so I let her watch one while I grab a quick shower.

SO no judgement here!LOL! A channel she used to watch as an under 1 is BabyFirst on Directv. Just shows with singing and really basic for babies. The nighttime shows music and different pictures as they prepare for bed.

Now, she likes Bubble Guppies and Team Umizoomi. Also Doc McStuffins.
