Wow, congratulations! No advice here either but I'm sure your mothering instinct will kick in when they're here! And it sounds like there are quite a few twin moms here as well. I've always wanted twins so I was opposite of you, looking for twins! LOL! I just wanted to do it once and be done! Didn't happen that way. But I have two boys almost 3 years apart.

@Mrs. Blue: haha you are too funny!!

I have a question: so with identical twins they are either both girls or both boys, right?

Congrats!!!! I am guessing that twin pregnancies are shorter...maybe you will be a March mommy after all?

@Mrs. Blue: aww!! idk if you want to share, but do you have a preference?

@Coco Bee: Prior to the twin bombshell, I had no preference. Now, I kind of want girls, but I'll totally be happy with two healthy babies of any gender! I think the idea of cute matching dresses and the fear of two rowdy boys egging each other into further antics has me leaning towards wanting girls!

@mrs. blue - is this the anon post you were referring to in your blog post!?!? if so, that's so funny that you responded to yourself! trying to throw us all off i see

"Oh my! I just had my first u/s today, and I can imagine that shock would be my primary feeling for a while. There are quite a few twins in my family, and everyone seems to say routine is the big key with multiples!

Just think of all the cute mtching outfits!! :)"

@Mrs. Blue: haha!! when I was pregnant I told my husband my worst fear was twin boys lol
but now that I have a boy... I realize how sweet and wonderful a boy can be.. and I wouldn't be so afraid of them now!! you will be an amazing mother to your babies and I think that will help them turn out wonderfully - either delightful little ladies or perfect little gentleman

@Mrs. High Heels: people were talking about perusing the board to see who had recently had scans. I had to think quickly! Plus my response was all true if you read it carefully!!

@Coco Bee: You're so kind! That made me tear up. Stupid double dose of preggie hormones. P.S. I can't tell you how many times I have hoped that I look half as glowing and lovely as you did in your maternity photos. They're my golden standard for preggie pics.

@Mrs. Blue: oh my gosh you are too sweet. I'm sure you will be glowing and just so lovely!!
just remember those pics were taken at 30 weeks... it was probably the best I'd felt my whole pregnancy. After 32weeks though, it was all downhill from there lol!!

  24. Mrs. Blue

    blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts

@Coco Bee: in that case I better shoot for 22 weeks since I think I'll be miserably pregnant by 32 weeks!

  25. Mrs. Pen

    blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts

    @Mrs. Blue: I wouldn't doubt it...
22 weeks may be a little earlier... I'm not sure if you'd be big enough yet. But for sure by 30 weeks I would think! Do you already have a photographer picked out?
