@oliviaoblivia: haha, hopefully some of that sperm is just waiting for you to release an egg so it can go fertilize it!!! But either way, at least you're having fun!

I see the dr tomorrow for my annual and tomorrow start my fertile period! I'm excited but yet a little afraid that this might not be my month.

  3. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@bluestriped bee: Good luck with your doctor tomorrow! Do you have questions you plan to ask?

I feel the same way though - I'm excited but feel this isn't my month either. I don't really have a reason... just a feeling. Guess we'll see. Good luck to you!

hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts

@Adira: I do but I'm afraid she's going to say that line that it's normal for couple to take upto a year to get pregnant. Then send me away. I will ask her where the DH should go for his SA.

Yeah, I have that same feeling. No reason for it. Just a feeling.

  5. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@bluestriped bee: Have you been charting? You could bring her your charts to show her that you've been ovulating and having sex when you should, etc, and state that you don't want to wait up to a year to do something about it.

  6. BSB

hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts

@Adira: No I haven't been charting. I did chart the first 3 months after I got off BC but she was the one who said I didn't need to chart. That I should just look for EWCM. I did tell myself I need to start charting but haven't gotten around to it.

I will tell her that I have been using OPK tests and have gotten positive OPKs and also, I use iPeriod on my phone so I have records on when I BD'd and when I O'd.

  7. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@bluestriped bee: I think if she does try to dismiss you and you can show her evidence that you've been timing things right (like your phone app), hopefully that will help convince her to speed up the process.

  8. BSB

hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts

@Adira: Yeah, I hope so. I, also, just got a letter that she is retiring so I'll be getting a new OB.

  9. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@bluestriped bee: Sorry to hear your OB is retiring. But at least if she DOES dismiss you, hopefully your new one won't!

I don't feel good about this cycle. Hubs just turned me down to BD and... we really needed to do it today. I feel like this is a wasted cycle.... wait 3 weeks to start BDing and then we don't when we need to... now I'll have to wait another 3 weeks to try again. I know it's not over until it's over, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to O tomorrow... I guess we'll still have tomorrow, but I really feel like I need to get the days leading UP to O day, plus the days following to give myself a fighting chance. Oh well.

I feel like we don't have a great chance this month either... I'm 4dpo today, and we only had a chance to BD twice, since we do every other day, and we were way too tired at the beginning and the end of my fertile time Oh well, I'll just have to wait and see.

  11. BSB

hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts

    @Adira: Yeah, good point.

Sorry about not being able to BD tonight. I know there's been a couple times where the DH just wasn't in the mood. I was bummed out, too.

  12. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@bluestriped bee: I spoke too soon! After he turned me down and I went to bed, he came and seduced me! I'm still in the running!

@Mrs.Someone: Awww, sorry to hear that! Do you know when you ovulated vs. when you had sex? Sperm can supposedly last a while in fertile CM, so you still have a chance! But I know what you mean - when the timing isn't right, it's hard to be hopeful. Good luck to you!

I'm posting here because it seems as good a place as any. Guys, I am getting so antsy to just get this show on the road!!!! I won't be in this POAS club though, since I'm still dealing with my MC 5 weeks after the fact (ugh!!!!). I just want to start trying again so badly!!

  14. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

@sslm: I sorry you are still having to deal with your MC. It's bad enough that it happened, but it must be so frustrating not being able to get back in to it when you are ready. Are your numbers back to normal now?

@Adira: What a good DH! I'm so glad you're still in the game. I need my testing buddy!

DH was at tennis until 1am and woke me up because we hadn't BD'd yet. I was so close to turning him down. Baby or sleep. Baby won, but now I'm dragging at work.

  15. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@sslm: Oh man, sorry to hear you're still waiting!!! That's sooooo frustrating!!! Hopefully AF will show up soon enough so you can get back in the saddle!

@oliviaoblivia: I know!!! I couldn't believe it! Now I feel bad for thinking all those bad things about him, haha. Ooops! I'm glad I can still be your testing buddy! ALSO, glad to hear that your DH is also on top of his game when it comes to BDing! It would definitely be hard to get motivated at 1:00 in the morning, so I'm impressed you went through with it!

@Adira: ha! It wasn't my best performance, but we got the job done. You O today right?

  17. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@oliviaoblivia: haha, getting the job done is all that matters, haha. I think I do O today, though I don't know for sure. Seems like today would be the day though based on previous experience, though. When do you O?

  18. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

@Adira: According to FF and past cycles, today is the day for me too.

  19. Adira

@adria - Glad it worked out for you last night!

I O'd on Thursday, and we BD'd Monday and Wednesday. The original plan was Sun/Tues/Thurs, but we were exhausted on Sunday and Thurs. I know there's definitely a chance, but I just feel we didn't try hard enough this month (pun intended

My plan is to test after AF is 3 days late (if I can wait that long!) That would put it on 5/1.

  23. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Mrs.Someone: Thanks! Sorry to hear your BD schedule didn't go according to plan, but O-3, O-1 still sounds pretty good. Hopefully something good will come of it! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I'm in...I think! I should be O-ing soon (its CD20, and I O anywhere from CD17-CD27, so I have hope). May 1 is our wedding anniversary, so I seriously hope that I'll be able to POAS close to then. A positive would be wonderful...though after 14 months, I'm a little skeptical. DH left today for a week's conference...and I haven't O-ed yet. Hoping those sperm stay up there!

I'm set to O tomorrow. We BD'd Fri, Sat and This morning. Hoping to get another couple in just in case I'm not right on time!

  26. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@redsmarties: Yikes! Let's hope you O soon so those sperm can get to work!! I'm sorry to hear about your 14 months though - do you know why it's taking you so long to get pregnant?

@Crisark: Oooh, you've been really good about BDing! Hubs and I have only done it Sunday and yesterday so far. Hope you get some more in and O when you expect! Good luck!

    @Adira: Thanks!!
To be honest we BD'd last Tuesday, Wednesday and then Friday and Saturday and then this morning lol I felt more like O was possible towards the end of last week then right now so we took full advantage of the time. Hoping whenever it happened(s) we'll have some swimmers on deck

Went to the dr today. It went pretty well. Got some information on getting a SA for the DH. She also discussed some other options, too. I'm glad she was so supportive.

@PBandBaseball: @Adira: Thanks! My fertile period started today and we BD'd tonight, so I'm excited again.

  32. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

Just my daily check-in! My temps are up today so I think I probably did ovulate yesterday as expected. I'm thinking Hubs and I will try to get in one more day of sex so that I really get all the days surrounding ovulation and then hope for the best!

@oliviaoblivia: Do you know if you ovulated yesterday?

  33. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

@Adira: My temp was up this morning too, but not as high as usual post O. I had a bit of cramping last night so I am pretty confident that I O'd yesterday. We got one last BD in this morning. Hubs is totally toasted and I'm glad that I've O'd and now we can rest. When we first started dating six days in a row was normal, now it's work. what gives?

@bluestriped bee: I'm glad that you had a good appointment. Good luck to you this cycle!

  34. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@oliviaoblivia: Oh my gosh, I know what you mean! I'm soooo thankful I O'd yesterday because it's been WORK to keep at it every day! We're a 2-3 times a week couple, so 3 days in a row (4 if I get today in) is HARD! It's definitely been a challenge. Which is why I'm sooooooo nervous that I'm not pregnant... then we'll have to try again tomorrow and we're already kind of burnt out! I'm so amazed at the people who try for MONTHS. We've only been trying for four months, and I'm already sick of it!

If you had cramping last night, that could explain why your temps aren't very high yet. They'll probably be higher tomorrow. I think if you ovulated earlier in the day, you would've seen the temps you were expecting. But I'm just speculating, haha. I have no idea when (time-wise) I ovulated. I never feel anything.

@Adira: Seriously. It's just not that romantic. The first few days are fun, but this morning was such a chore! I hate thinking about my husband as the sperm machine, but the TTC mind has taken over. Your timing has been pretty good this week though, don't fret that you aren't pregnant. Only time will tell. I think if I'm not PG this cycle that I'll try less hard next time. I'm pooped!

  36. oliviaoblivia

Also, it's crazy that we have 115 posts already and you and I are only a day into the TWW.

  37. PBandBaseball

    clementine / 861 posts

@Adira: @oliviaoblivia: I definitely agree about the lack of romance. I think one of the things I'm most looking forward to when we get a BFP is that sex won't feel like work anymore.

  38. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

    @PBandBaseball: Exactly!

And that's my 500th post. Glad it was with you ladies!

  39. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@PBandBaseball: @oliviaoblivia: Oh my gosh, I KNOW! It would've worked out so much better if I got pregnant last cycle because last cycle, I was REALLY in the mood during my fertile period. This month though, I'm all "Ugh, let's do this but please be quick." Soooo romantic, right? haha. How long have you been trying, PBandBaseball?

  40. Adira

@oliviaoblivia: Yay!! Congrats on becoming a Kiwi!
