@Adira: We are on cycle 13. He has his SA next week and I am supposed to schedule my HSG as soon as AF shows up. I'm hoping it won't show up because of a BFP but after over a year I'm not expecting a positive test!

@PBandBaseball: Oh yikes! I'm sorry to hear you've been trying for so long with no success. That's definitely discouraging! No wonder you're missing the romance! I hope that his SA and your HSG give you at least some insight into what's going on. OR even better, you get a BFP!

On CD25 and still waiting to O. I was hoping to O earlier then CD30 like last cycle but it's looking like if it is it won't be too much earlier. I really thought going to acupuncture 2x a week rather then 1x would help! Ugh I'm so disappointed.

My father is a physician and I asked him if he'd ask around and try to get me an appointment with an OB in Boston to check out my charts and possibly do some bloodwork. Gotta use my connections!

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@arielle9510: Ugh! So sorry you're still waiting!!! That's sooooooo frustrating!!! I was really hoping the acupuncture would work for you! Definitely a good idea to talk to your dad and meet with an OB in Boston. Hopefully SOMEONE will be able to help you out! How long have you guys been TTC for?

I'm (I think) 2 DPO today. We didn't end up having sex last night like we should, so I'm pretty sure I'm going to be kicking myself later for that. But at least I've given myself something I can improve upon for next time, haha! Oh well. I feel like this is going to be the longest TWW!

    cherry / 220 posts

@adira: Ya I really hoped acupuncture would help too! Maybe it will have more of an impact next cycle. I've been off BC since October and we started TTC right away, but I didn't get my first AF until the end of December so those first few months were kind of a waste. We're on cycle 3 now. It's not that long, but if I'm going to continue having issues I want to figure it out sooner rather then later.

  7. PBandBaseball

    clementine / 861 posts

@arielle9510: I definitely agree that if you can find out about any issues sooner, that's the way to go. We waited a year before scheduling tests and I feel like it was wasted time.

  8. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@arielle9510: Yeah, definitely! I mean, with your longer cycles, you aren't able to even try as often, so that's annoying! Hopefully the acupuncture will help out next cycle since it didn't work for this one. Ugh, hopefully you're able to meet with an OB soon and get some answers! You'll have to keep us informed on what happens.

@bluestriped bee: I wanted to let you know that the hubs scheduled his SA for next Monday at the fertility center & they said that they don't take ins for it & the cost is $135. Not terrible! Thought you might want to know for planning.

@PBandBaseball: Thanks! I'm going to call the fertility clinic that the Dr recommended us to. I just started my fertile period so I'm going to wait till my fertile period is over before I get the DH to do his SA. I should call them soon to ask them if they take insurance and to schedule an appt.

Just keeping this thread alive because I have no other hobbies, haha.

3 DPO today. Fertility Friend has thrown up my coverline and agrees with me that I ovulated on Tuesday. AF expected on May 1st (ugh, I go on travel for work that day so I REALLY hope AF stays away for that reason as well as the other one, haha).

    How's everyone else?

  13. PBandBaseball

    clementine / 861 posts

@Adira: I am 9 DPO. AF is expected the 26th & I am going to try to hold out until at least the weekend to test. I hope AF stays away from your business trip because of a BFP!

  14. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@PBandBaseball: Oh my gosh, you're almost through your TWW! I really hope you get a BFP this time around! You guys have been trying for sooooo long, you deserve it! And thank you! It would be soooo awesome if AF stayed away for my trip because of a BFP! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for both of us!

    @Adira: I have no real idea of when/if I O'd.
If I was textbook I would have O'd Tuesday. However, based on CM I would say it probably happened over the weekend. Either way we gave it the 'ol College try' so if it's supposed to happen this month it will
We BD'd 6 times in 9 days so we didn't miss many opportunities in our suspected "fertile" window!

  16. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Crisark: Wow!!! That's impressive! It sounds like regardless of when you actually ovulated, your timing was spot-on so hopefully you get some good results!!! How did you manage six times?? Hubs and I got sick of it after three days in a row! I'm just thankful I ovulated when I was supposed to because we were DONE after three days!

  17. BSB

hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts

I'm on CD 17 and plan to O in 3 days (on the 22nd). So far we have been on track with BDing every other day. I plan to POAS around May 6th.

  18. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@bluestriped bee: Oh nice! I plan to POAS on May 5th, assuming AF doesn't show up beforehand. Sounds like you've been pretty good with your timing so far. Are you planning on keeping to the every-other until you O, or increase it at all?

  19. BSB

hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts

@Adira: Yeah, I think I'm going to keep the spacing the same. Dr suggested doing it every other day since we think it might be his sperm count. We hope to do a SA during my TWW.

  20. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@bluestriped bee: Yes, that makes sense! Hopefully the every-other works out for you. It seems like that should be fine since sperm can live awhile, so I hope that this works!!

  21. BSB

hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts

@Adira: Thanks! Good luck to you, too!

  22. Crisark

    @Adira: We did ours in two day increments...started on CD 7 & 8, off CD 9, BD CD'S 10 & 11, took off CD 12 and 13, BD'd again on CD's 14 and 15.
If I was to O at all in the normal time frame we for sure had swimmers on deck to cover it. So, it's up to what's meant to be at this point lol .
And trust me, we are exhausted lol but part of me is like, what if I O later so maybe we should start up again but idk if DH can handle it lol

  23. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Crisark: Oooh, two days out of three, that makes sense! I might try that next cycle if this one doesn't work out for me. Definitely three days in a row was HARD. It was rough because neither of us were really in the mood any of the days, so we just had to force ourselves to do it. Maybe if we took your approach, it would be a little better. I hope it works out for you!

  24. Crisark

    pomegranate / 3398 posts

@Adira: Thanks!!! We wouldn't have been able to handle every day for any length of time.
He was getting on my nerves something terrible last night and there wasn't a real reason for it lol I'm thinking I had just had enough "of him" lol

  25. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Crisark: haha, I know what you mean! Honestly, I was relieved to have ovulated so that we could stop. In general, there's only so much of Hubs that I can take and we needed a break from each other. I'm glad I'm going away for the weekend, so hopefully we can get some of the romance back when I see him again on Sunday, haha.

  26. Crisark

    pomegranate / 3398 posts

@Adira: OMG I'm going away for part of the weekend too and wont be home til late saturday/early sunday! How funny lol

  27. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Crisark: haha, yay us!! Are you going away for something fun? I'm going to Foxwoods (gambling, here I come!). Hopefully it'll distract us from the TWW at least partially.

Hi ladies! I'm on CD 15. Got a positive OPK yesterday, so expecting O tomorrow or Sunday. We've been bd'ing every day since CD 12. AF is due 5/6. We leave for our vacation on 5/3, so I'm planning to pack a (few) HPT(s) and hubs's "we're pregnant" gift!

  31. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@eiko2010: Wow, you've been BDing everyday since CD 12?? I'm impressed! Hubs and I just couldn't keep it up, so I'm really glad we started late (CD 14 and ovulated on CD 16), because I know we would've messed up our timing if we started any earlier. Good for you for being so active! I hope your vacation is fun AND you get the bonus BFP on it! That would make it so special!

  32. littlebug

    honeydew / 7504 posts

@Adira: That was definitely not our intent! My plan was to bd everyday from our positive OPK until day after O, but the "mood" struck us Tuesday and Wednesday, and now we have to try to stick with it! I'm a little worried that we'll tucker out, but hopefully we can power through!

We're staying with friends for our vacation, and this is one of my best friends who also struggled with ttc, so she knows we've been trying. It would be so much fun to share the good news with them, too!

  33. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@eiko2010: Oh, I know what you mean about the mood striking! I'm impressed you've stuck with it though. Last cycle I had that, where the mood struck early, but after two days, I was done, and then we missed our window. Ooops! So good for you for powering through!

Oh my gosh, that'll be fun! I hope you have that opportunity to share good news with your friend! My best friend knows we're trying too and I really want to be able to share good news with her. She's been really respectful, not asking me all the time, but I know she's dying for me to get pregnant almost as bad as I am! I hope you and your friend (and your husband of course) will be able to celebrate good news!

Got a positive OPK tonight. I also noticed tonight that I have some cramping and some boob pain. I think it might be sign of ovulation? I've never felt pain before like this. Weird...

@bluestriped bee: I felt what I think/hope is ovulation pain for the first time ever today too! I hope it's a good sign.

@bluestriped bee: Yup, and temp went up this morning, so I think it was ovulation pain. I feel like a science experiment...

@bluestriped bee: @grace: Weird! I got a positive OPK on Thursday, then yesterday was having weird cramps. This morning my temp spiked, so it looks like yesterday was O day. I chalked the cramps up to something I ate and/or stress, but maybe it was O pain?!

@eiko2010: Sounds like O pain to me!

    I'm 4DPO, can I test yet? I hate waiting.
