TWW - POAS - Early May

Blah CD 21 / Possibly only 6DPO so AF is due a week from tomorrow.
Have to say so far I'm not feeling AF at all. Normally by now I'm a raging bitch and 2 sizes bloated but so far not so much.
Here's to hoping I'm imagining things lol

@Mrs.Someone: Uh oh - what did you find?? I did some Jillian Michaels yesterday and did some ab exercises... hope it's okay!

  3. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Crisark: You're a day behind me and @oliviaoblivia! I hope it's a good sign you're not feeling how you normally feel! Hopefully that means a BFP is in your future! Do you think you'll test before AF is due or try to wait it out?

  4. Mrs.Someone

    pomelo / 5228 posts

@Adria - it was inconclusive... I saw one thing that said something along the lines of 'if its not strong enough to stick through ab exercises, then its not strong enough anyway'. In general though, it said exercise is good. But I'd rather be safe than sorry I guess...

  5. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Mrs.Someone: Yeah, I know what you mean! I actually felt really nervous about exercising when we first starting TTC because I wasn't an avid exerciser to begin with. But then I gained some weight during my first three cycles, so I'm trying to exercise a bit more and I'm going to hope for the best! I do the ab exercises during my Jillian workout, but I take it a little easier than I normally would, just to be on the safe side (hopefully).

@oliviaoblivia: Honestly, it is much more difficult IRL than it is here on HB. I keep telling myself that I don't want to be the woman who is grumpy all of the time. I also think it would make it more difficult at home for my husband to see me so upset. The most difficult thing is to hear about someone I know getting pregnant when they "weren't even trying" or are "not quite ready". I think HB is easier because people are so supportive and know that I'm TTC. IRL no one knows that we have been trying.

@Adira: Since I've already given in and wasted a test I'm sure I'll take on some time over the weekend but I'm going to try not to.

  8. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Crisark: Oh, haha! Well, stay strong if you can! But I know how hard it can be not to test! This cycle seems especially hard for me. I'm only 7 DPO and I know I'll see a BFN if I test now, but I WANT to!!

@Mrs.Someone: Interesting. I'm going with the opinion that excersise is good. Keeps the stress hormones down and the endophins up! What baby wouldn't want to stick around that, right?

@Grace: @MrsSomeone: @Adira: I just started the Couch to 5K program and everything I've read says it's ok. I figure if my sister-in-law can do Zumba till she's 8 months pregnant, I can trot my way through the 5K training. (c:

Ugh, here starts the psychoanalyzing... I'm starting to psychoanalyze how I act around pregnant friends...

I posted this on another thread I started. http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/when-your-not-pregnant-friends-ask-for-pictures#post-135846

I read my response and realize maybe I'm that crazed TTC friend who is a bit baby obsessed. Has TTC for 6 months changed me? Do I have baby fever so bad that I come across nutso for kids? I'm just trying to be a friend to her and see her progress. Secretly, I hoped that we could be pregnant together. Maybe sort of live through her pregnancy since we aren't pregnant. Do I sound crazy?

Maybe I need to step away from the parenting/ baby sites...

  12. Grace

    cantaloupe / 6730 posts

@bluestriped bee: oh, if you are crazy, then I am too. And we always analyze ourselves way more than other people do. In reality, she's probably busy with a million things, worried about all the things that pregnant women worry about, that she might just not have time for it. Or, maybe she doesn't think she looks good. I have one friend who looked fabulous, but she just couldn't see it.

My point is, cut yourself some slack and maybe stop asking to see her belly.

@Grace: Yeah, good point. Thanks! I've already stopped asking for photos about a month ago. I thought I was over it but I realize that I never got to vent about it. I held it in until now. Crazy how TTC makes us feel.

Can I join over here? I was over at the mid-late April thread but I just O'd yesterday (at CD 39!!). Its my second cycle off BC and it felt like foreverrr waiting for O. It'll be nice to relax for a bit...well, until the end of the TWW.

    Good luck everyone!

@bluestriped bee: Well last cycle, my LP was only 9 days. I'm taking B6, so hopefully it will lengthen a bit. At this point I'm thinking I'll wait to POAS until May 3, but hopefully I can wait longer.

I think I'm going to jump in here as well. A couple of days ago on CD 9 I had the most EWCM I've ever had. I checked my cervix and it was soft and open so I'm assuming I ovulated. I haven't been charting because we're still waiting to see if my husband's surgery was successful. We had already been BDing since I was a couple days removed from AF and we have just been continuing. When I was charting I usually didn't O until CD 17 so Oing this early was a big shock. I wish I knew if I really did. Have any of you ovulated way earlier than expected? I didnt think it was possible to ovulate that early.

Well this is rambling! I'm going to say I'm 3dpo now and will probably test around the 5th. I might even wait later than that.

If I do get a BFP I will be floored. We don't even know if my husband has any sperm.

Well, here is my first post! I am a mirror image of the OP... first cycle NTNC but got a little over zealous this past weekend. Looks like we BD'd a few times right around/on O date, so... I am 4DPO and i think will be testing the first week of May! Hoping all you ladies get your BFP, looking forward to updates!! We would all have Jan 2013 babes!

Wow, I'm so glad this thread is so active. I hope someone here gets a BFP!

I saw this on another thread and thought it was a good idea to keep track of everyone's POAS dates. I skimmed the thread and I know I missed a few users because they didn't have exact dates for their POAS. Well, @reply me, if I missed you or if you would like to be added to the POAS list. (Oh, if I misspelled your username (Sorry!), let me know.)

I actually O'd way earlier then I thought so I'm POAS Saturday morning if AF hasn't shown up. I feel like it's coming though so starting to count myself out Happy to have O'd early though!

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

Wow, this thread is hopping now!

@bluestriped bee: haha, I don't think you're crazy. I'm the same way. I want to live vicariously though my pregnant friends and I get super bummed when they don't show their bump pictures, so I don't blame you for asking! Although all of us TTC ladies probably DO seem crazy to everyone else...

Thanks for making a list! What an awesome idea!!

    @lilteacherbee: @Leialou: @SAllison: Welcome!

I can't wait to see a BFP on this thread!!!

I'm 8 DPO today and not feeling super confident. This morning temps were WAY down (like 0.4 degrees down!) so I'm not feeling very good. I'm assuming they'll be back up tomorrow unless AF shows up five days early, but seeing low temps still don't feel good.

Wow, seems to be a popular time to POAS! AF is expected on 5/4 for me, which is DH and I's 10 year dating anniversary - would be a great gift to get a BFP, but I'm not holding out too much hope - it's our first cycle.

@bluestriped bee: Thanks for making the list! I'm so happy to have so many ladies in our little club!

@Adira: I see low temps on 8DPO as a good thing - implantation dip?!

  34. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@oliviaoblivia: I think normally I would think that, but I've seen this low dip before and it was followed by high temps and then AF showing up. In reality, it probably means either I didn't take my temperature accurately or it doesn't mean anything! I was sooooooo convinced (even though I tried not to be) that this was my cycle, but this temp drop just reminds me of previous cycles that didn't work out. I'm probably just being crazy, but... oh well.

    How are you doing??

  35. Crisark

    pomegranate / 3398 posts

@Adira: Don't be discouraged! You still have time!

Last night I was at my MIL's to pick our LO's up after work and while I was sitting there talking with her I got this wave of nausea out of nowhere! I mean I thought she was getting puke on her shoes. I ran and got something to drink and sipped on that until I got home and ate and then seemed ok. I was also unbelievably tired yesterday for no real reason. CM has increased for some reason. I also have no "period pimple" (I normally get one blemish), no bloat (I've actually lost 1lb) and my DH is still alive so my bitchiness hasn't increased.
I'm so very hopeful we got it right this month but I'm still a week from AF and it's killing me!

  36. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

@Adira: It's not over yet, I still have fingers crossed for you. I feel absolutely nothing. Just normal. Preparing for the worst but hoping for the best. I hate how aside from the disappointment of not being pregnant that I'll have to deal with bleeding. Kind of feeling down on this whole thing lately. My temps are steadily above my cover line but this whole cycle has been about .2 degrees lower than usual.

  37. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Crisark: @oliviaoblivia: Aww, thanks ladies! I'm trying not to be discouraged, but it's so hard sometimes. I've definitely felt kind of off this time around - a little crampy and fatigued, but it's all so mild that it's probably nothing. My head is probably just messing with me and imagining things!

@Crisark: Gahhh!!! Your symptoms are so encouraging!!! How long have you been trying?? I would be sooooooo hopeful in your shoes!! I hope it's a good sign!!! Only one more week though!

@oliviaoblivia: I think a lot of people have zero symptoms, so feeling normal really doesn't mean anything! And feeling something really doesn't mean anything, haha! I know what you mean though - it sucks to deal with the disappointment of not being pregnant ON TOP OF having to deal with AF in general! Are your temps usually consistent every cycle? I've noticed that mine are completely spastic. My cover line is never the same. It's been 97.70, 97.58, 97.43, and 97.29. Apparently it keeps dropping every cycle...

  38. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

@Adira: I temp in Celsius, but my coverline is usually 36.54-36.6, this time it was 36.34 and I'm at about 36.7 during my LP when usually I'm at 36.9-37. It's just weird.

  39. Crisark

    pomegranate / 3398 posts

@Adira: Honestly this would be our first real cycle.
I had Mirena removed Feb 15th and had would I assumed was a period but now I believe it was just removal bleeding. Then on March 6th through the 9th I had weird spotting and then nothing. But, then 28 days later on April 4th I got my first real AF.
It's a running joke in my family that I'm ridiculously fertile so lets hope it's still true lol

  40. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Crisark: How long were you on Mirena? My first cycle, I was CONVINCED I was pregnant, but I really wasn't familiar with how my body was off birth control, so all my symptoms were really just normal for me. I HOPE that's not the case for you though! That would be sooooo awesome (and LUCKY) if you got pregnant first cycle!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!

@oliviaoblivia: It could just be a wonky month. HOPEFULLY you won't have to find out if is or not because you'll be pregnant!!
