My son is 21 months old and has been consistently leaking through his diapers at night for a while now. We'd been using Huggies Night time diapers a size up for a while and they'd been fine. But now, they are doing NOTHING.
Any suggestions??? Thanks!

We did well with Pampers night time diapers. But really I would just try cutting back on his liquid intake towards the end of the day.

@Truth Bombs: Yeah - I'm sure that he's drinking too much in the evenings. I'm not sure how to curb this because it seems that he's starting to use his sippy cup bottle as a soother - I'm sure we are going to need to nip this in the bud!
@Mamaof2: Good question - I'm not totally sure because there is just so much that it soaks all over, but if I had to guess I'd say it mostly starts in the front.

I use Pampers Extra Protection diapers and cut off his liquids 1.5-2 hours before bedtime. We still have a few nights it happens, but overall much better.

@rosegold: I've tried repositioning when I put the diaper on, so I don't think this is the issue. But good thought!

@math.nerd: I agree to limit liquids but also you can do what I did - sounds crazy but it worked! My DS was mainly leaking from the front (belly sleeper) so I put an overnight maxi pad at the front of his diaper and boom - no more leaks!

We were devote pampers users...all the sudden DD started peeing through them like 5 out of 7 nights a week. I switched to huggies one size up and it was fine! Now we are back to the pampers and its fine...must have just been a phase!

we had to use nighttime diapers a size up, and add an extra layer to his jammies, because he was getting cold that's why he was leaking through the diaper
I always found when he was cold he would pee a ton!!!

I buy the Poise pads (incontinence pads) from Costco, cut slits in the back, and place it inside his Huggies night time diaper. He is currently in size 6 so I can't size up, this has been working great for the past couple weeks.

We like Target brand overnight diapers, and make sure that the tabs in the front are placed as close to the top as possible. Otherwise diapers sort of slouch over in front a bit and the moisture can wick up and out.

My LO started leaking through her overnights a few weeks ago. We double up on the diapers at night and it seems to be working - no leaks for the last 2 weeks.
@Mrs. Pickles: DH swears he has to pee more at night when it's cold.

@math.nerd: another vote for the diaper booster/doubler pads. They sell them at Babies R Us near the diapers and potties and they're way cheaper than online.

@clover: If your poise solution ever stops working, when we couldn't size up anymore we switched to the Target brand of "overnight underwear." They're like cheap, super absorbent pull-ups. They're awesome.

I was following along because my 19 month old has been waking earlier than normal and soaking wet.
Yesterday we bought a new box of the same diapers and he wore one of those to bed. He slept an hour later then he has been and wasn't wet! I think it was a bad box.

I think ppl have had some success with using inserts with the buggies overnights. But I definitely found buggies night were better than pampers. Make sure all the ruffling is splayed out though!

@MrsSRS: Thanks, I'll definitely keep that in mind! Since we bought the pads at Costco the box was huge so hopefully they keep working for a long time.
