Ooh, I'm curious about this as well. I have heard that maternity spanx exist--I would think the kind that are like long shorts would do the trick for your situation, but I don't know exactly how that would work in maternity sizes. They're so uncomfortable (though worth it!) when I'm not pregnant; would they make me want to die if they went over my bump?

I just got a pair of maternity tights at Macy's and they feel so good! They are not shapewear, just normal tights and I definitely still feel smooth and secure. I think the shapewear ones are tight in your butt and thighs but have more 'give' in the belly.

I would wear cotton thongs for formal events when I was pregnant. They are more comfortable than the lacy or synthetic thongs

I think highwire was saying that the maternity spanx were super comfortable too. I've never heard anyone say they were uncomfortable.

I've never tried them on.

@mrsmenow: Regular spanx help with the underwear line, so I don't see why the mama ones wouldn't. I'd just wear the thinnest, least line making ones you have.

Yes, maternity "shapewear" is amazing! It doesn't do any of the sucking, it just gently shapes, and leaves no lines anywhere.

Maternity spanx! I lurve them!!!! I was skepticsl bc I never liked normal spanx, but maternity spanx are great! They suck me in and make me feel "controlled.". When my thighs are oh-so-out-of-control:)
