I'm thinking of doing some boot camp potty training with my 2.5 year old over the holiday break so we need underwear. Except she's tiny and I tried a pair of Carters 2-3 undies today and she's swimming in them. Anyone have tips on undies for very little kids? She's in 2T clothes, barely 25 lbs.

My 2.5 DD isn't super tiny (29 lbs), but these Fruit of the Loom undies in the 2T/3T fit her nice and snug. Some others we have (http://tinyurl.com/pen38vt), also in 2T/3T aren't nearly as fitted.

My 3 yo DD was tiny when she started potty training. The XXS Gap undies fit her fairly well...

I think the character ones run small.

@Mrs. Carrot: the ones at target seem to run small. they carry 2t/3t and 4t. My LO was in 2t clothes when we potty trained and we actually used the 4t as they fit better. There is a chart in the back for size by weight.

My LO is also right under 25 lbs and tall and we got some cheap character undies at TJ maxx in 2t that fit fine.

Did you wash them yet? We were able to shrink the Carters & gymboree ones enough to fit a child of a similar size

LO is teeny tiny in the waist, we did H&M 1.5 year underwear.

My son is very small and he fits great in the character ones (like at target a bag of 7 of $11, size 2t) once they are washed. They shrink a lot.

I agree with the character ones at Target. DS was in 18 month clothes and probably 23 pounds when he potty trained (he was about 2.5, just tiny).

^ the character/Disney ones at Target worked fine for us. DD was also a very skinny minnie and PT'd just before 2.

my kiddo is the same size and both the gerber and character undies both fit him fine.

Oh yes! Like @Mrs. Lion: said, we started out in the Gerber 18 month ones....they're a tiny bit smaller. Those are a little thicker (training pants) than regular undies though.

Mine is exactly the same size and I bought Paw Patrol ones yesterday from Target in 2T and they fit fine.

I know you have a girl but with my son I have to get him the boxer briefs because otherwise regular underwear gaps at his skinny Minnie legs.

D is the same size (still). We got all of the typical 2t/3t character undies at Target (Hanes maybe?). They really do Shrink over time and washing on hot right away might help. We just fold them over and it's been fine...(he's 24lbs and like 36 inches so very skinny...) but they aren't co pretext snug.

Hanna Andersson carries little sizes- I plan on potty training when T is youngish and I noticed they have the equivalent of 18 mo if I remember correctly

Fruit of the loom hipsters run tiny. They have no waistband or leg hole bands either, if it turns out your lo doesn't like them like mine!

DS was just over 19lbs and wearing 12 month pants when we introduced underwear. It was a trial and error kind of game. I want to say target's character ones (2T) were on the smaller side compared to others (still big, but they worked).
