I generally dislike one syllable first and last names (Bob Smith) so while I love Elizabeth/Beth, I think Beth is a better NN with longer last names. That's one of the many reasons I love Evelyn/Evie!!! They'll go great with your last name! (We have the same issue- one syllable last name too!)

this is tough! i really love evelyn, but i agree with others it is becoming pretty popular, but if that doesn't bother you i say go for it! my first choice name is emily- super classic and i love the nicknames em, emmy, etc.
