Lots of Amazon reviewers complain that the spare and original mattress cover shrinks when you wash it. I'm wondering if these reviews are skewed or if lots of people really have this problem. So, did you wash yours and did it shrink?

I borrowed my friends bassinet and washed the covers and didn't notice any shrinking at all.

I did and it did shrink a little, but it still fits over the mattress. Just took a little extra work! I would probably just hang it to dry if I had to do it over again.

Whenever I wash our bed's mattress cover it seems to shrink, but then it always stretches out again after being slept on. It may just be the nature of mattress covers to do that.
