So for the first time last night I used my 'Mom Voice' with my LO. He was being a complete maniac on the changing table so I looked at him and used my mom voice when I said his name. He looked so shocked! It worked though because he stopped trying to escape me!

I've been using it all week, trying to "tell" LO to come out of me, haha.
But, yeah...as they get older, you find yourself doing that a lot. It's very empowering, lol.

I did for the first time this morning because she recently started grabbing at my face and scratching me. I looked at her sternly and said "No" in my mom voice, and she pouted and then started to cry. I felt so bad! But when I leaned in for a kiss a few minutes later, she actually kissed me instead of clawing at me, so I guess it worked!

I hated doing it - I felt so awful because he gave me this face like 'mama?'

I use my mom voice all the time, haha! DS is apparently very sensitive and will cry every time I use it. DD seems to be kind of desensitized to it 
and it doesn't phase her as much.
@betsyboop: my DS does this too. I have scratches all over my neck. I think he purposely tries to draw blood, ouch!

I don't remember the first time but I feel like I'm in permanent mom voice with my toddler. DS doesn't think it's scary at all.
