I can taste a difference between vanilla bean and regular vanilla but french vanilla just tastes like... vanilla.

Yes! I love Vanilla Bean, do not like French Vanilla, and will only eat plain vanilla in a root beer float or on the side with something else, like Apple Pie a la mode or Molten Lava Cake...

I can! I don't care for chocolate so I tend to get vanilla types. I prefer vanilla bean. I actually have vanilla bean paste that I use when baking. I love those little specks

I can. I'm a vanilla lover when it comes to ice cream. Vanilla bean is my favorite, but french vanilla is best for root beer floats.
If I'm getting it at an ice cream shop, I get it with rainbow sprinkles on top, too. -

Vanilla bean has specks of the actual vanilla bean in it, so depending on the brand it has a rough texture. French vanilla tastes extra sweet IMO.

I can tell a difference in flavour but I can't tell you which exact flavour it is.
