Aw!!! That is so hilarious and also so sad!! Ah! I can't believe the dad kept admitting that he didn't want a girl either...poor baby sister!
@sunny: I thought the same thing hahaha! Like...uhhh did that little girl just walk ACROSS the table?

I understand a little boy wanting a brother, but the dad's comments made me really sad.

lol aw, I mean cute he wants a brother. He'll get over it though. And now they have an awesome video to show at his wedding.
Also the dad is cracking me up "well then you should've been prepared for this disappointment…" hahaha

@erinpye: I think he was just trying to commiserate with the kid and make him feel better. (And I'm sure he knew how much his son wanted a brother and would've liked a brother for him). He didn't sound truly disappointed, just saying like "yep I know it's not what you wanted I wish you could have that but you'll love her"

LOL! I love that the dad was like, "yeah, that was my reaction too." Can't blame the poor kid, that's a lot of brauds and hormones to have to deal with! They will all laugh at it when they're older.

Haha I had a similar reaction when my brother was born... love him now though!
I feel for him though, 3 girls and 1 boy!
I think the dad was just trying to commiserate and relate to his son. I don't think he literally meant he had the same reaction!

Haha. I'm the 5th kid in my family and family legend is that when my mom told the older 4 she was pregnant again, my sister said "geez mom, don't you think you've already done enough?" And my oldest brother yelled "gross!!" And stomped out.

I hope that poor girl never sees this video when she grows up! The brother's reaction is just cute and funny and what you'd expect finding out a 3rd sister was coming but if I saw that video of my Dad agreeing and saying he was disappointed too, I'd be devastated.

@Mrs. M: @xInfinity: I doubt she'd had a negative reaction. My brother did the exact same thing when I was born - he was livid at my mother for having a girl when he wanted a brother. In fact, he gave my mom the silent treatment for the entire first week I was born because he blamed her. I don't hold it against him at all and we have a great relationship
@Running Elley: @sunny: ummm maybe I'm a bad mom but my toddler totally walks on the table. He currently eats all his meals on the table right now too... yeahhhh...

Aww poor boy. I thought the dad handled it well trying to relate and commiserate with his son. I think gender disappointment is ok and normal and I can see why he would want another boy to balance the numbers. He obviously loves his kids.
As for the table thing I didnt think too much about it, she wanted cake heehee.

@Mrs. Pen: I don't think there's anything wrong with the brother's reaction. Totally normal for his age and situation. It's Dad's comments that bothered me. I would never want my daughter to think/know her Dad regretted that she was a girl. That's just sad.

@xInfinity: Hmm well I guess I just think he was trying to commiserate and he didn't actually sound like he felt that way...?? either way, gender disappointment is real - but it doesn't often make the baby any less wanted (most of the time I think)! I wouldn't be offended if my parents said they wanted me to be a boy, because I know that they love me just the way I am. *shrugs* I wanted a girl for my first child, but now that I have a boy I'm so happy I have a son and I wouldn't trade him for anything!
But I suppose someone else may see it and react differently than me.

The kid is hilarious.
The dad's comments make me sad because they are so public. If you have gender disappointment I don't think you put it on youtube for the world (and his future daughter) to see.

Awwww this is funny and sad. I'm not so worried about the daughter seeing it later as I am for that boy and what will happen if his friends find it and make fun of him for it.

Hahahahhaha... I think the dad was just trying to make the little boy feel better. Awwww that is a lot of girls

OMG! This video made my day! It was so sad to watch though and I think his dad was just trying to make him feel better too. I cried when I found out that I was having another boy. Haha! Thank goodness for our female dog that I'm not the only girl in the household. But I wouldn't have it any other way now. I'm sure he'll laugh about it when he's older and that he and his little sister will be the best of buds when they are older!
And, @T.H.O.U.: I was wondering the same thing about those booster seats! Kind of neat that it looks like car seats. Haha! I would expect the boy to be using it. Although, he does look like he doesn't need a booster anymore.
