I vote maybe. Strawberry is a highly allergenic food and vomiting could be a sign of allergy (it was for Baby Brother) but it's hard to know over the internet, KWIM? I would avoid them just to be safe until you talk to your doctor.

@Foodnerd81: I think that's a good plan. I really thought it could be a fluke the first time too. And LO had some cantaloupe too, which made me more unsure. First time mom nerves made me avoid completely for a solid month. When it happened the second time we really felt it had to be the banana.
It sounds like your LO didn't puke quite as much as mine did. Mine did it over and over, it was horrible (not that your situation is wonderful!). Poor baby just might have a tummy ache. I think getting used to solids can be tough on their tummies at first.

Could be a bug too - with the sleepiness and lack of appetite. poor girl!

@Foodnerd81: I don't gave any advice but I wanted to add that I am allergic to strawberries, I get an insane stomach ache. I could eat them fine until I was around 8, I miss strawberry shortcake so much! I hope your lo is better now .

That's how lo's egg sensitivity presented itself. The first time it was just a little bit, more like spit up, so we didn't think anything about it. The second time she just kept puking over and over. She only had a tiny bit of yolk. She outgrew it by 15 months.

@Foodnerd81: Yes. The same day. Less than an hour later. After figuring out it was the egg, and confirming with the doctor, we didn't do much about it but wait. We didn't give her any eggs by themselves, but she could eat things like bread or cake with eggs baked in.

ETA: the first time we gave her eggs she had the spit-up reaction. The second time she had the puking episode - maybe a week later.

I'm voting bug on this one. Only because I just had a slightly similar situation with A over the weekend.
A is 11 months old, so I was trying to introduce Milk slowly to wean her off formula. Well I started this Sat and Sunday and Sunday night she started projectile vomiting. I was convinced it was the Milk since she has some sensitivity. But then it turned into Diarrhea and not eating or drinking and getting dehydrated and yeah lots of no fun.
So, no milk issue but stomach bug that just happened to hit at the same time as introducing something new.
Keep an eye on wet diapers for sure.
And I agree with @MamaMoose: that maybe waiting until after 1yr for strawberries.

@Foodnerd81: oh, uggg. Hope you feel better. Get as much rest as you can. I had it this year, too and parenting plus sick is no fun.
