We were just at a wedding and F started puking all over! We brought him to MIL's (we're out of town) and cleaned him up, but he's never thrown up like this before (hes 18 months) and I'm not quite sure what to do. He can't hold down any liquids (including breast milk) and he's thrown up 7 times in 3 hours, but no fever.
He also had diarrhea late in the afternoon, so my best guest is stomach bug. How do I know when to offer him liquids again? He's sleeping now but I'm nervous to put him down and have him throw up all over himself. Experienced mommas: how do you get through the first real illness? Any tips to make this easier on him?
it's so rough. Hope he gets better fast. Oh and wash your hands a ton, if it's anything like norovirus, it can spread like wildfire. We had it a month ago and it was a really, really bad week. Luckily DD, who was 21 months recovered the fastest out of everyone and was able to eat bland foods 5 hours after the vomiting stopped (but we also had her on zofran).
I'm sorry to hear your whole family got sick! We gave him (and me since I was holding him) a bath when we got home, but he spent the whole day playing with his cousins. I hope we haven't spread it around too far already!
I hope your son is better this morning @.twist.:
