Oh what a great idea! We aren't doing gifts for each other cause we just got a new couch, and I need to save money for a couple large expenses I'll have next month.
But if I was going gifts for him:
Want: Star Trek pizza cutter
Need: iPad/phone charger
Wear: jeans
Read: this is tricky. He doesn't really read for pleasure. He might be interested in a devotional or bible study type book though.

Read is hard, so let's think outside the box!
Read: could be a magazine subscription or even looser a book of puzzles like Suduko or much looser and be movie tickets for a book turned into movie.
I double checked with DH this morning his preferred method for reading for fun- Audibles! If anyone goes with that you can pre-load an existing account and Audibles will send the recipient an email on the date you choose. I'll have to figure out a clever way to package the gift since I won't have an actual book.
ETA; an idea just popped in my head. I can make one of those scroll looking poppable party favors. Inside I'll put some details about the book.

I didn't quite do this this year, but here goes:
Want: new Xbox game
"Need": new Xbox console, because the new games don't play on ours (this is the family gift)
Wear: PJ bottoms
Read: not sure yet-I have to go to the bookstore!
Really, the Xbox games were supposed to be the throw in at the end, because I bought him a chess set that I found for really cheap. But it turns out to be a much bigger hassle with needing the new console. So, we decided that will be our family gift when he gets his bonus in January. He has no idea about the rest
He and LO are also getting an indoor t-ball set from Little Tikess from me. I'm pretty excited about that!

@Greentea: I was thinking of getting an adult coloring book for my husband, too. Which one did you get?

@mediagirl: I got him 3 by Lisa Congdon. Folk art, botanicals, and geometric, I believe? They are thick pages, perforated so I figured they could be used as note cards after.
