Oh rats! I'm the first and only meh! I thought it was meh. The Keira Knightley storyline kinda pisses me off and ruins it for me, heh.

I think it manages to be a romantic movie while still portraying real relationships. Im a fan.

I love it! I just think it's the new thing to hate on this year, at least if my Facebook feed is any indicator. In past years it's all been nothing but love for it, but this year it seems like there's some backlash going on. Anyway, I'm not very cultured when it comes to movies, I just want to see something that will make me smile

I loved SOME of it. But I hated the story line with the husband who falls in love with the younger woman and then leaves his family. While probably something that happens all the time, it really depressed me and took away from everything else about that movie that I loved so much. That movie would've been perfect if that storyline wasn't there!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Love actually, haha. I think if it was all butterflies and rainbows and everyone was happy, it would be a boring movie. I like that some of the storylines are sad and some are happy. That's how real life is, so I find it relateable.

The sequence where the kid is running through the airport and Colin Firth's character is going to propose makes me cry every. single. time. I watch the movie.

I love it but despise the fat jokes in the scene where Colin Firth's character is going to propose to Aurelia (lots of idiotic jokes at the expense of her less attractive sister). And I hate the way the Natalie character's weight is treated. Both story lines could have worked perfectly well without those elements.
I think even the depressing story lines make it great--it shows the realities of many different kinds of love.

I'm meh/dislike. Hate is too strong for me to use on this movie, but I'm definitely in the minority with how I feel about this movie!

Not a fan. I never understood the hype. That movie actually make me feel uncomfortable.
I'll be back in an hour after I read all those links.

DH and I watch it every year during the holidays. It's one of my favorite movies! The Colin Firth story line makes me cry every time!

I love this movie. I love that it isn't just about romantic love--the Liam Neeson/stepson-stepdad storyline is hands down my favorite.
Also, Emma Thompson crying while listening to Joni Mitchell just destroys me. I cannot watch that without crying. I 
Emma Thompson, there's a scene at the end of Sense and Sensibility where she has a similar breakdown that always, always, always slays me as well!

@Kimberlybee: @DigAPony: @mrbee: @swedishfish: Okay, apparently I need to rewatch this, because I REALLY thought they weren't together anymore at the end!! I kind of thought they had separated and were just trying to be friendly at the end of the movie, but weren't together anymore...
ETA: Either way, that story line is depressing. Even if they are able to get past Harry's indiscretions, I thought it kind of ruined the movie for me because I hated what Harry did and I felt so bad for poor Karen!

@nana87: YES, to Emma Thompson's Joni Mitchell scene. Every time I watch that I think about what an incredible actress she is to be able to convey so much emotion with such grace and subtlety. I mean she's literally in a room by herself, not saying a word, and your heart just breaks watching her. That's the best part of this movie to me -- the awesome cast. Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Bill Nighy, Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson... Can't get any better!

@Adira: I'm with you... The whole alan rickman affair portion ruined it completely for me.. Even if they didn't end up splitting.. That's pretty much my lasting impression of the movie. Probably because he's such a good actor and made me detest him, haha.

@Mrs Green Grass: Huh wha? There's no cheating in that movie! Alan Rickman's plotline involves him flirting with another woman and buying a gift for her and getting caught, but he never actually cheats. None of the other plotlines have anything to do with infidelity. I would hate it too if there was a lot of cheating in the film.
