I thought it would be...and maybe it crossed my mind more in the early weeks pp, but now at 4mths pp I don't even care anymore. I've just started buying clothes in the next size up and I'm happy with that. Like you say...there's more important things to focus on!

For me, I had lost all the baby weight by the time LO got home from the hospital, HOWEVER I thought it would be a priority to get my stomach back flat...and 15 months later I'm still rocking my mom pooch. I hate taking time away from LO to workout, even though I know I need too.

@lulu mom, you aren't taking time away from LO, you're taking time for yourself . I firmly believe that if more moms tended to THEIR needs more often, we'd all be happier in the long run

@blackbird: Yeah I do agree with that, I think its my excuse more than anything! I hate working out But you are right, and tonight I'll go down and use the elliptical after puting her to bed!

I thought it would be and at first, I even tried to lose some of the weight, but then I just stopped caring, and here I am at 10.5 months, and I still don't really care! I keep pretending to care, but then I stop, haha! I even finally caved and bought pants in a bigger size!

Yes. I gained almost 60lbs and getting back to normal me was so, so, so important for me. I got back to 145lbs or so, ran a 6 month pp 10km race, then had three surgeries in May (1) and July (2) and let myself go. Got KU in August and am just a lost cause currently, lol. Will work my butt off again post baby #2. I am not crazy nuts on tonedness, because I hope to get KU again, but the weight and getting fit/being able to run again is super important to me. I also have two lovely scars now from the IUD surgery, so I am interested to see what that does to my motivation to get my nice tummy back, I can't imagine showing my tummy again with the one scar

Yes, it was a priority. However, it took me a while to work up the motivation after dealing w/ PPD and breastfeeding issues. LO is 19 months old and I'm not quite there, but I'm close. I want to wait until I am back to pre-pregnancy weight before I TTC #2, but we'll see.

I thought it would be, but honestly, All my energy has gone iti just keeping the boys fed, diapered, sleeping (or not, as the case often has been), and getting my stuff done at work. I knew twins would be a lot of work, but I didn't expect to feel like we were in survival mode for so long. At 10 months pp, I am just now feeling like I can start focusing on my own health and body. I'm amending the "9 month on 9 months off" thing to "18 months off," so I get 9 months per baby.

It was a priority for me. A lot of my identity is being physically fit and it was a hit to be so sluggish and flabby. It makes me a happier person to take time to exercise and be happy with my appearance so I made it a priority. It DID make it easier that LO was an easy baby and let me get my zzz's so I could get up early to get a workout and didn't feel like I was sacrificing time with him (as he was usually still sleeping ). With #2 on the way, we'll see how it goes this time around.

It hasn't been a priority because having 2 kids is tiring! But now DD2 is a year old so I am ready to get back to my old weight.
