Just curious to see the comparisons! My mom was ALWAYS a WOHM but I will probably end up staying home with this LO.
My mom pulled off being a WOHM flawlessly. I didn't inherit that ability though!
Did your moms decision help in deciding whether you would SAH or WOH?

My mom has worked out of the home my entire life besides a few months when we moved (and even then, she was looking for a job).
DH and I talked before I was pregnant and decided that, as long as it was feasible and we were incredibly financially comfortable, that I would be a SAHM. Because of some job opportunities, I'm a SAHM and actually got to stay at home during my entire pregnancy (DH had a temporary job and getting a job when I was pregnant and might need days off and probably moving soon seemed wrong).

My mom was a WOHM and I remember really hating it when I was little. I wanted her to stay home with me but she had to work. 
This is why I've always wanted to be a SAHM.

Both my mom and I are WOHM. My dad wanted her to be a SAHM, but she hated it.

My mom did both depending on where we were at. She stayed home while we were little and then went back to work once we were both in school, with periods of being a SAHM. I will be a WOHM unless circumstances change.

My mom is/was a single mom, so she had to work. I think once we have a kids I will work, not sure if it will be outside the home, but there is a lifestyle I want to be able to provide my family and that requires two incomes.

My mom worked until I was 10, then she went on disability. So, that's why I voted other.

My was a sahm until we were in third grade? And she worked til our school day was over until we were in high school.
I am not a SAHM and don't plan on being one.

mom was a wohm, I will be too, though I'll be a grad student mom (this will be a dissertation baby!) so I will have a lot of flexibility and will work at home most of the time

My mom stayed home with me until I was about 1 1/2 and has been a WOHM ever since. I don't remember her being home with me at all, though, since I was so young. SAHMs were really uncommon where I grew up (the only one I knew was my uncle's now ex-wife, who was miserable and a raging alcoholic, so not the best example), so I never felt like I missed out on anything by having a working mom. I will be a WOHM, but live in an area where SAHMs are fairly common so I do wonder if my LO will resent it.

My mom was a wahm for a long while which was pretty cool cuz we could pop into the office to say hi after school. Once the company grew though, she shifted to wohm.
I am a SAHM but not because of any reaction to my mom's work life balance. Partly because I am lucky to choose this set up and part because my prior income wouldn't have covered child are (nonprofit).

My mom was a WAH mom, and I will be too! She did daycare for years, then Mary Kay ... I'm a graphic designer with a home studio. Funny, I never thought about that similarity!

My mom was a SAHM and so am I.
She went back to work once my sisters were in school but quit working and went back to being a SAHM when she accidentally got pregnant with me years later. I plan to go to work when my children are all in school too....I do not plan on getting pregnant later like she did though lol.

My mom was a SAHM until she and my dad separated when I was about 23. The experience I had with her growing up as well as how hard it was for her after the divorce is a huge reason I am a WOHM.

Mom was a WOHM until I was 12, and then, due to health issues, stayed at home.
DS's 1st year I started as a SAHM, which has evolved to WAHM, which I love. But DS has been going to half day school since he turned 2.

My mom was a SAHM. I was going to be a WOHM, until my mom got sick. Now it looks like I'll be a WAHM. If that doesn't work out, I'll be a SAHM. I'd like to work, but I don't make enough that sending LO to daycare makes any sense.

I guess I would be other since my mom was SAH until I was in jr high, then she went back to school and started working shortly after. I was in college by the time she started working, but my brothers were still in high school. I would kind of count college as a job since she would take classes in the afternoon and dad would make dinner (: I am and plan to be a SAHM until all kids are in school, at which point I will only work if my hours fall in between 8am and 1pm, I want to be home when my kids are home; no exceptions. (:

Mom was a sahm and I am too. I'm sure it impacted my decision because I just can't picture the logistics of any other way, but I also always wanted to stay home.

My mom was a SAHM, and has never reentered the workforce (I'm almost 32 and my brother is 29).
I'm a WAHM/WOHM.
My mom always encouraged/pushed me to never be financially dependent on any man (including my husband) and to work; which influenced my decision to work more than the fact that she stayed at home. She recently has said she did not become a SAHM really by choice, it was more by circumstance.

@yoursilverlining: That's cool that your mom encouraged you like that. My mom never did and it's really hard to talk to her about how challenging it is being a working mom.

My mom started law school when I was close to a year old, so I voted other since she was a student. She graduated a little over four years later, and because she had young kids when she graduated, she stayed at home for another two years, then went back to work.

My mom stayed at home but taught night school language classes via adult Ed for years. Then she decided to be a kindy aide, she just retired.
I've been both SAHM and wohm.

Yes, my mom was a SAHM, but I will not be. DH will not likely be able to be the only financial provider (as a teacher). He's thinking about become a principal eventually, and maybe at that point, I can SAH.
