I got pregnant again when my first LO was 4.5 months old so I've never experienced multiple periods following pregnancy. I had my first period after baby #2 last month and am now waiting on my second - I'm a day late and am already nervous even though I know periods can be irregular for awhile after baby.
What was your experience like with periods after giving birth?

While nursing the first 6 months I had no period and when it came back it was regular

I was still nursing when my period returned, but it was pretty irregular.

I've only had 3 periods so far and it's been irregular-- first cycle was 37 days, second 29 days

I'm nursing and have a mirena, so I haven't gotten anything yet. But the 3 cycles after S were really regular. More than before my pregnancy with her.

I think I only had 3 periods after I had ds and they were all very regular.

The 3 cycles I had postpartum were definitely not as regular as I was before pregnancy. Don't recall exact details, but none were shorter than 30 days and previously I was always 28 like clockwork.

I only had one period before I got pregnant again, but that cycle would have been about 45 days which is "normal" for me. Before getting pregnant with LO, my cycles were always between 40-45 days.

I haven't had a regular period since 2009. I've been pregnant or nursing or just irregular since then! I'm currently nursing my youngest and he's one Saturday, no period yet.

@Torchwood: I was always 28 days like clockwork too and I'm at day 30 now and holding my breath. We've only been using WD because a pregnancy wouldn't be the end of the world BUT our third will definitely be our last and I am hoping for a bit of a gap between my last two.
It sounds like some people regulated immediately and others didn't. I may pick up a test today to (hopefully!) ease my mind but we'll see. I was hoping I'd wake up to AF this morning but no dice.
