First two were twins, so they were smallest.
Ds2 was biggest of my four kids.
Dd2 was 2nd biggest...even though I gained almost as much weight as I did w my twins!!! Thought for sure she'd be biggest.

My first (boy) was 7 lb 14 oz.
My second (girl) was born 3 days earlier than my first and was 7 lb 5 oz. She was also shorter.

wow, quite a mixed bag. Interesting that it's common the second is bigger. This one is scheduled to be 10 days before DD1 was so I wonder if she'll be bigger or smaller.

My second was much bigger.
DS1 8lbs 3 oz. born at 38w6d
DS2 9lbs 11 oz born at 38w4d
Both were easy going babies that slept reasonably well.

@oliviaoblivia: How big is your third now? My third (and biggest) is now actually my smallest baby on the growth curve. Actually less than 50% for weight but 75% for height at 10 months.
pineapple / 12793 posts
@T.H.O.U.: she's still a house. 98% in height and 92% in weight. She's only a few ounces smaller than my average sized 2.5yo.

DS1 was 5lb5oz and 17.5 inches at 38 weeks. DS2 was 5lb6oz and 19 inches at 38 weeks. I'm now 38 weeks with another boy and he is currently measuring 6lb11oz.....and I've gained a little less this time as well.

DD1: born at 39+5 she was 8 lbs 10 oz.
DD2: born at 39 weeks - she was 7 lbs 6 oz.
so there was over a pound difference between them! I gained 20 pounds more with number one than I did number 2 so I think my eating contributed to the difference!

Both born at 40 +3. Lo1 was 9lb lo2 was 7lb 5oz. The first thing I said was "he's so small!"
Mine were almost 19 months apart and I just don't think I had the resources the second time around.

DD was 8lbs 3oz, born at 38+6
DS was 9lbs 3oz, born at 39 exactly.
I had GD with my son, which may be why he was so much bigger- I gained 16 pounds with my daughter and actually ended up losing 2 pounds with my son.

Baby 2 was bigger and shorter! Dd1 was 8.12 and 21 in, dd2 was 9.6 and 20 in. I gained about 15 lbs less with my second... Totally puzzling.

My second was almost two pounds larger than her sister! Both were born full term and I gained approximately the same amount of weight with both pregnancies.

This thread has been really interesting. Especially the differences in weight gain. I'm starting this current pregnancy about 5 lbs heavier than my last so I'm interested (scared) to see where I end up

@Banana330: 2 oz apart! 8lbs 2oz boy at 40w0, 8lbs 0oz girl at 40w6d, I voted for pretty much the same.
