@PinkElephant: I agree with @chopsuey: . We have a jellycat lovey that goes through the machine regularly.

I've washed that exact bunny after my dogs got ahold of it. I air dry. You can brush if there are any mattes.

@youboots: That's right! I forgot to add that I also air dry.

We have that exact bunny and it's gone through the wash several times. The fur is never the same after you wash them (it gets sort of matted). But I've noticed that the fur gets like that anyway after awhile if they are well loved. I put them in a tied up pillow case when I throw them in, and use the hand wash and air dry cycles.

@youboots: Never thought about brushing them! I am going to try this.

@Foodnerd81: ha! I found a cute bumblebee costume at a consignment shop in the fall for Halloween this year. It took a bit to brush it out. I felt ridiculous. But it's so cute and not matted.

@PinkElephant: I love that your daughter calls it bun bun. We have developed a serious attachment to our bun bun in the past week, completely ditching our previous loves.

I've successfully washed our entire collection of stuffed animals after a week of messy illness, including several jelly cats. As others have said, hand wash cycle and air drying are key and they still look new!

We have a lion that similar to the one below and had to wash it. The hair got matted but otherwise, everything else is fine.

We have the jellycat lamb and he goes through the washer and dryer at least once or twice a month. He's fine!
