So if someone's not registered anywhere and says they don't really want gifts, just to celebrate with you, what do you give them for their wedding? I feel like "nothing" is not really an option. It's a destination wedding... some nice thing from the destination (piece of art, pottery, etc.?), a bottle of champagne? You ladies always have clever ideas!! (PS it's driving distance so it's not like they have to fit everything on a plane)

What are they into? Wine tours? Are they going on a HM? An activity during HM perhaps?

I agree with a GC to their favorite restaurantand throw in a movie ticket GC too & write in the card "just a little something to help keep date night alive after marriage!"

My perspective may be a little different than most, but I dont like tangible gifts. I like experiences. So for this couple I would get then a very nice card one they will want to keep for a little while and note that offers to take them out upon their honeymoon return. Make good on the offer. Gift done.
If you know their schedule and likes dislikes you could gift them tickets to a music or wine festival Or an experience like parasailing. Make a foursome outing or just send them.

Hmmm I think a GC is a good idea but I'm not sure how hard or easy it will be to get something in their area. Going to have to do some Googling around.
