We had one no-show, and it was a guy that Hubs and I actually argued about inviting in the first place because I had a feeling he'd flake. I should have sent his ass a bill because the guy was total doucebag. BUT. I didn't. Because I'd rather be the bigger person.

We just went to a wedding and one of the no shows called us rather than bother the bride and groom before the wedding. It was a last minute issue and it bummed the groom out but by the time he found out he was happy and married and having fun. Not sure if it would have put more of a damper on things to let him know right before he got married but it seemed pointless to bum him out right before he walked down the aisle.

@Maysprout: I didn't even have my phone near me from before the ceremony until after the reception. It would have been pointless. I could maybe see a text the day after just apologizing and explaining, but the day of? meh.

Honestly? I am absolutely over the sensationalism of everything.

The nerve of some people!
We had a couple people call and cancel last minute, it happens. The caterers boxed up the left overs and my parents took them home, no big deal!
