My best friend is getting married in June. Her budget is really small, and she is a laid-back kind of person who just wants to have a big party. They can't afford a photographer, and its not a priority for them. They are just asking family/friends with nice cameras to take lots of pictures & share them.

I have a nice DSLR camera (with just a kit lens and a 50mm), and so she mentioned this to me today. I'm definitely a beginner- I shoot in manual mode usually, but am really slow and just figuring things out by trial and error (have read one of the "for dummies" book, and one other about infant photography).

I don't feel ANY pressure, but I'd love to get some good shots for her. Any tips on what I should focus on learning in the next few months in order to improve my chances of getting some good pics for her? What about tips for the day of?
