    @hergreenapples, a baby class?!?!? THAT'S AWESOME.

The first two weeks sucked....but it gets better SO MUCH FASTER. It's so much muscle memory and coordination You're going to feel great getting back into it, I just know it!

@sandy, ugh, nobody wants to *live* there :P. I don't think anybody here is aspiring to levels of supermodel fitness

    @sslm, WOOOOOT

@Dojo; I go right after work. DH hangs out with the baby and I prep a lot of my meals on the weekend. I mean serious prep. I have this pinned up in my cube when I start feeling laaaazy, lol. If it helps you, great, if it makes you feel bad, ignore it :).

@AprilFool: @hergreenapples: @mslipgloss @blackbird: thanks ladies! I'm so excited. Apparently my parents thought I looked smaller in the tummy area. Yay!

Okay, so I may have lied when I said I was going back to the gym today. My intentions were really good, but we're having out-of-town friends over for lunch/the afternoon and there was no way I could go to the gym, shower, feed DD, make lunch and be ready for them by noon! I will for sure go on Wednesday though!

Got the correct battery for my scale. Turns out I've lost another 8 lbs since the last time I weighed myself at my six week pp appointment. So yay for that! Still another 14 lbs to be back to pre-pregnancy weight. Working on it!

    Happy weekend everyone!

I totally did not work out yesterday :(. And I slept in this morning too *hangs head in shame*

That quote is totally true @blackbird:

Posting on here makes me feel more guilty...hopefully guilty enough to get myself to work out!

Soooooo... I FINALLY broke out of the 170s!!!!!! 169.4 lbs this morning!!! WOOHOO!!! Only 9.4 lbs away from my pre-preg weight (and about 40 from idea, haha, we won't think about that)!

I'm actually really surprised because I ate like CRAP all last week. I was actually praying that I'd only GAIN 1 lb, so to have LOST 1 lb is AMAZE-BALLS!

How is everyone else doing? I know some people don't weigh in on Mondays, but have people been eating well or working out well? I still don't work out (though I did go swimming over the weekend) so diet is my #1 method at the moment.

    @Adira: Awesome!!

I was just going to write, I wasn't good this weekend. Something about being sick, I end up eating horrible. But I made salads for lunch this whole week. So hopefully that will help me get back on track.

  7. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Smurfette: OMG, I'm the same when I'm sick! Unless I'm nauseous, I end up eating soooooo much worse than normal!!! I think because I'm feeling lazy, so I tend to go for quick and easy junk food.

That's the good thing about your weigh-in being on Wednesday though! You have a couple days to be good to offset what you did over the weekend! Hopefully you'll still be down!

@Adira: good for you! Every milestone should be celebrated!

I weigh in on Saturday morning, then I usually wreck the progress over the weekend and start fresh on Monday. I ate a bunch of things that were not worth the points, so feeling it today!

I did reach my first 5% goal, so I've lost about 8.6 pounds, which is almost a size. I have been finding dressing for work a supreme challenge, because the stuff I bought in March is visibly too big, but I can't fit into the majority of stuff in my wardrobe. So I have been shopping for skirts, especially ponte knit, which is very forgiving. Today I am wearing a great skirt from Banana Republic, which happens to be on sale, in case anyone is looking.

@Adira: I will say my ice cream from Bruster's was really, really good though.

  10. blackbird

    wonderful grape / 20453 posts

@looch, that skirt is super cute!

I've been eating right and working out, but the scale isn't budging (hasn't in about 3 weeks), so I took photos in my skivvies so i can re-evaluate in a month. It's frustrating to not see the number go down, even though I know positive changes are happening!

We did go out for our anniversary on Saturday, Didn't totally blow the day out of the water, but we went to a really nice restaurant and I had a fancy burger and fries, then I had half a small cookie dough malt. YUM. It was one of those quality-over-quantity kind of adventurous restaurants with nifty food. It was delicious! And MIL babysat, which was fabulous

Almost all of our meals are crockpot meals this week. I prepped on Sunday and bagged everything up so all i have to do is dump it in the crockpot and turn it on every morning!

  11. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@looch: Yay!! Congrats on your 5%!!! I still have ~2 lbs to go before I've lost 5%. And I hear you about dressing for work - I'm still wearing maternity pants most of the time and loose shirts to cover the belly. That skirt is super cute though!

@Smurfette: haha, I had a triple chocolate brownie for dinner last night. It was delicious too! Sometimes eating bad is worth it.

  12. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@blackbird: I suspect you're losing fat but gaining muscle, which is why the scale isn't moving! I know when I work out, the number of the scale moves sooooooo much slower, but my clothes get looser a lot quicker!

Sounds like you had a fun date for your anniversary!!! Congrats! And I also need to learn how to use our crock pot... people seem to love theirs and supposedly things are so easy, but I've never done it before! I'm scared, haha. I should try on a weekend so if I mess it up, I can just make something else from scratch.

  13. blackbird

    wonderful grape / 20453 posts

@adira, 2 lbs is so close!!!! Yeah, i know it's muscle coming back, but i want the fat to go, too!!! Haha. I'm just impatient and want it all to happen overnight

I actually bought myself a nice, new, fancier crockpot! It's much easier to use and clean and doesn't overcook food. I have America's Test Kitchen crockpot cookbook and it is FULL of fabulous menus. I also found some good paleo meals out there. It's great b/c we get leftovers, too. The pork I did tonight was beef broth, sliced onion, and some seasonings. Really easy. It's really hard to mess up! It does great shredded chicken, too. I'm making stuffed bell peppers on Thursday

@Adira: Congrats!! Yeah for the milestone!! You go girl!! Exclamation points everywhere!

ETA: I was sick all weekend and barely ate. Stupid stomach flu. Last night, I had blackberry Italian ice for dinner. I was so tired that I just went to bed and didn't have anything else to eat. I hope my being sick doesn't screw up my weight loss goals. I have a bunch of daily allowance points available before tomorrow even with some fudging of points and food. Right now, all I want is a Wendy's chicken sandwich and fries.

@Adira: Yeah, I'm feeling better. Just tired from some morning sex and a whiny LO before daycare. I'm working from home today to catch up on some things and recover a bit more aka nap when I need to.

  20. cascademom

@Adira: It's mainly my DH wanting it. I try to sneak in more sleep, but he pushes for it. I need to go down the street and get some iced coffee. So sleepy even with an LO waking up at 5:30am for a couple of days now.

@cascademom: I am jealous! DH and I love morning sex but haven't been able to since we had R. She wakes up at 7 or 8 on the weekends, and there is no way neither of us is up earlier for sex.

    Hi guys!

So the weekends are hard on everyone else too? I was bad Saturday - I mean, I went to yoga and and ran a mile but I was at my parents house in the evening and they made pizza. I gained a freaking pound just from that! But Sunday I ran 4 miles and ate super clean so my weight was back down to where it was before.

A few things, made homemade energy bars with no refined sugar, soo good! Instead of the 30DS I did Jillian Michaels 6 pack in 6 weeks and it really challenged me. I think I'm ready to do level two of the 30DS soon after doing 6 in 6!

  23. cascademom

    coconut / 8861 posts

I just ate a candy bar and some greek frozen yogurt. I'm pretty much done with my points for the day, but plan on spending my daily allowance points on some Wendy's. I hope that it doesn't kill the weight loss so far.

@HLK208: weekend was tough for me too!

It was too nice all weekend so we stayed up way too late hanging out both nights and that meant I slept in instead of working out. I made sure to eat super healthy to compensate though - turkey burger with no bun, roasted veggies and no chips/dip, sparking water instead of beer/wine, etc. I'm down 1.5lbs when I weighed in this morning! My husband is always telling me that eating heathy is the most effective way to cut calories and lose weight bc you can eat 800 calories so easily but it's so hard to work out and burn 800 calories. I still want to work on fitting in a work out though...I want to be fit and active so I can chase LO around without getting tired!

  25. HLK208

    pineapple / 12234 posts

@sandy: woot woot! 1.5 pounds, awesome!

I keep telling DH that abs are built in the kitchen but not for him. He has a high metabolism he has cut out snacking and is already at his goal weight (in 3 weeks).

  26. sandy

    cantaloupe / 6687 posts

@HLK208: seriously, men lose weight so easy! My husband cut out beer and snacking and hit his goal weight in 1.5 months...he lost 14lbs! I am trying to work out and change all my meals and it takes me 1.5 months to lose 3lbs

So I was supposed to join WW like over a month ago and never did- so I basically have bee wasting time not losin weight be aide I could t find the motivation and I didn't want to spend the money on joining! So I have downloaded myfitnesspal and have started actually USING it today! So far I am doing well!
I had lost all my baby weight after LO was born- and I have gained a bunch back and I feel gross about myself. So gross that I haven't even let DH "get back in the saddle" it's been a REALLY long time (LO is 3 months old, and dH was way to scared to do it while I was pregnant- so I am talking like.... 6-7 months) so I want to feel better about myself so we can finally get intimate again!!

@cascademom: better than gaining!!!! This week will be better

I lost 1.8 last week, I am now 1.8 away from 20 lbs since joining ww! I'm also hoping to get into the 180s this week

@sslm: Congrats!! WW has been super effective for me. Last week, I pretty much ate within my points and weekly point allowance. I notice if I don't use many of my WPA, I lose more. I'm planning on saving them up this week for a date night and maybe a donut on Thursday.

  36. sslm

    cantaloupe / 6397 posts

@cascademom: yeah I try not to use my weekly points, but all of my activity points. That puts me around 2 lbs/week. Since I'm breast feeding I want to keep it to no more than 2! I've done ww in the past and it always works for me, I love it

  37. cascademom

    coconut / 8861 posts

@sslm: How do you your activity points before your weekly ones? I'm still pretty new to it, so I'm still figuring it out. I have to remember to log my activity points too. I have a Fitbit and have to do my stride length to enter my steps easier to show that I do get exercise throughout the day.

Does anyone use Bodyrock TV or Fitnessblender.com for workouts? I am starting an 8 week bootcamp on fitnessblender but am looking for other workouts too that I can do at home....other than Jillian Michaels

@cascademom: oh, I just do it kind of mentally. The ap automatically uses your weekly points first, but I just eat extra on the days I exercise.
