LO just had her 2 year appointment today and went from the 23rd percentile to the 3rd percentile for weight. The pediatrician didn't seem concerned but said she'd check her weight when LO#2 is born just to make sure she wasn't losing weight or anything. LO height stayed at the 50th percentile like it has since she was born though so I guess at least she's growing.
So I was a bit freaked out and kept her up late trying to make her eat more and more. She doesn't always have the biggest appetite but she eats lots of avocados, eggs, pistachios, full fat cheese and yogurt, which seem like decent calorie foods. I had started buying 2% milk to consolidate the fridge a bit and since she's still nursing but I guess we'll go back to whole milk.
I just looked at the WHO chart though and she's more in the 15th-20th percentile, which is what she had previously been measured on, but I guess at 2 years old the recommendation is to switch back to the CDC chart. I wasn't aware of that at the drs appointment but looking at the two charts at home it seems more like the weight percentile diff is due to switching of growth charts then some major change in her weight gain.
So I guess did anyone else notice a change at the 2 year appointment in weight?
Any recommendations for good foods to make sure she doesn't fall off the weight charts?
