One of our HS chemistry teachers was removed from his job and sentenced to a year in jail for having an inappropriate relationship with a student. This happened a few years after I graduated.

One of the history teachers who was also in charge of the debate team was sleeping with the star of the team.

Totally! A female music teacher had sex with a senior when I was a freshman and then a male geography teacher was "dating" a senior girl. They ended up having a long-term relationship after she graduated, which... gross.

I used to be a high school teacher and the idea of being attracted to one of my students completely weirds me out.

A female PE teacher in middle school was fired for doing something with a few students. I was at an all girl's school.

And then in my (co-ed) high school, my male English teacher dated a female student but I don't think anyone got into trouble?

My freshman year of high school, a science teacher was fired for acting inappropriate with a female student.

When I was a junior, our school got a new male English teacher who was young (23 or 24, fresh out of college) and good-looking (and also married). The summer after I graduated, I learned that he was fired after having a long-term, sexual relationship with a student that was a grade younger than me. I was really disturbed! I still see him when I am back in my hometown, he is a bartender at one of my favorite bars. I still get really creeped out seeing him and it's been a decade since I graduated!

Not at my school, but there was a huge scandal at DH's school with coaches and students that many people were involved in.

One of the (married) coaches was heavily involved with this girl and then they broke up one the scandal came out. Well, that girl wound up getting pregnant by someone else a few years later, and proceeded to name her child with the same name as one of the coach's children that he had. It was a unique name with a unique spelling and she copied it exactly. Totally weird!!!

There were lots of rumors about certain teachers, but I don't know how true they were or not. My 8th grade teacher did eventually marry one of his former students, but it was back in the 70's or 80's so way before our time.

My gym teacher had a drinking problem so he would drink during class. One morning we came in for our 10 am gym class and he was passed out on the mats. Someone ran to get an adult and they removed him. After that he went to rehab I guess since we had a sub the rest of the year. I don't think he lost his job. (small town politics!)

One of the English teachers was having an affair with a student. It was going on while I was in school, although I never had him as a teacher and the student was in a different grade than me. He got fired a few years after I graduated!

One (young) teacher used to routinely tell girls, "Nice shoes but they would look better next to my bed". I never had him as a teacher but everyone basically assumed he was sleeping with SOMEONE.

Yes. Many.
In particular there was a teacher from my Elementary fired and arrested for showing pornography and acting inappropriate with some 5th graders.
In middle school a computer teacher would walk behind students on computers and massage their shoulders. It always made me feel suuuuuper awkward but I think since we were all 7th graders it was more of an eeeww than we really thought much more - especially back then you didn't hear about things like this.
and in high school there was a teacher that sat only females in the front row. everyone said it was too look up skirts. also a teacher walked up to my cheerleader friend and told her he had many pictures of her in inappropriate angles.

DH says he and a friend were once asked by a female teacher if they could take her to buy some Marijuana ... and they did.

Not that I know of, then again, I was pretty naiive in High School. I thought one teacher was creepy because he had those transitions glasses when they first came out and they were always dark in class. But, he was probably one of the nicest teachers around. He was my science teacher and although I sucked at science, he actually called my parents and told them that I tried really hard, even if I wasn't the best student in class.

Not a teacher, but our high school volley ball coach "dated" one of my best friends. It was a big hush, hush secret that we weren't allowed to tell. He ended up getting her pregnant and she got an abortion. Eventually my friend and I told and they were questioned but nothing much happened. She finished the rest of the school year at home and last I knew he was coaching at another school!

Yes! One was creepy towards me, he would text me to try and hang out, text me to ask for sex or if I had any friends we could have a threesome with, offer to bring me to parties, tell me about his stories at the club or getting drunk, bring me breakfast in the mornings, hugged me a few times a week and was constantly staring at me/my legs.

Another teacher from the same school was dating a senior, verry hush hush..until they went to Mexico the week of graduation together.. and then came back and got married.

I also had a P.E. teacher who would walk behind me and massage my shoulders as I walked- he yucked me out more than my teacher I mentioned earlier. He did it in a very creepy way and didn't stop if I told him to. The above teacher, I may or may not have led him on haha oh god, I was a bad kid.

yes, my biology teacher would come up and rub your hands (both guys and girls!) when i went to ask him something on his down time (with a WHOLE class of kids) he told me ilooked tense and started rubbing my shoulders. loking back it was really innapprorpriate nad i should of reported it.

Yes, two that I personally found creepy both at different schools. First was my auto shop teacher that would always come up and put his arm around me when he was explaining something (I was the only girl in the class). Then there was my government teacher who was always touching the girls backs and very obviously staring down shirts as he was helping. He also said the same thing every Friday at the end of class " stay out of bars and back seats of cars". Though once we established that I do not like people i. my personal bubble he was a great teacher, always very nice lol.

Yes. A geometry teacher, who always hit on pretty girls and gave them better grades, a graphic arts teacher who slept with a few of my friends, and a sub who got fired on the first day for asking a couple of 9th grade girls out. The year before I started the band teacher was arrested for sleeping with a bunch of his underage students.

@mediagirl: LOL! I mean, those glasses can look kind of molester like. When I was in high school aviators were not quite as fashionable as they have been as of late and they were associated with creepsters/old molesters. I have to laugh since now those are my signature style of sunglasses.

I never took his class (several of my friends did), but one of our coaches also taught some science...biology I think...and when girls would wear skirts to class he would move them to the front row.

Several years ago it came out that there were several girls who had filed sexual harassment complaints against him. One of the girls, who was in my grade, said this (I've taken out their names):

Student said most of the behavior against her was verbal in nature but that Coach also had made her feel uncomfortable by massaging her shoulders and arms.
She said Coach had told her how pretty she was and that she "should stop dying her hair because he likes his women natural."
"I then said something sarcastic back, like, 'What, so I'm one of your women now?'¤" she recalled in an interview Friday.
She said Coach then forcefully pulled her close to him and whispered, "You could be."
At another time, Student said Coach commented, "I could watch that all day," when she was bending over to pick up some tennis balls.

There were also complaints that he would wolf-whistle and make sexual comments to girls, lift up the backs of jackets so he could see their butts, and constantly comment about how pretty they were.

And not just that, but he had complaints from a few guys, too...Coach walked into the room when a guy was changing the channel on the in-room TV and Coach grabbed the guy by his hair and pulled him away from it.

He also owned a restaurant, and was convicted and jailed for harassing female employees there.

Creepster, all around.

ETA: There was also an on-going (but unsubstantiated) rumor that the cheerleading coach/free economics teacher was cheating on her husband with a senior, and got pregnant. Don't know if it was true or not, but she was pregnant and in the middle of a nasty divorce when she left her position.

Also rumors of a student teacher (I had her for 10th grade geometry) flirting with/sleeping with several students...but she was very young and very pretty, and I think those were just mean rumors.
