Yay!!

Can I make a suggestion? It would be cool if one of the bloggers were also a hostess...they tend not to venture over onto this side of things and it might be interesting for some crossover conversations.

@looch: I agree. I wonder if the hostesses could help start threads with follow up questions/comments about the blog posts to help cross the convo.

@mrbee: I was going to drop the topic, but it seems to me that the only bloggers that visit the boards are the ones that were members of the boards first. Just my observation.

It would make sense to me, if this is actually the case, to try to bridge the gap and have the bloggers participate more on the boards. They seem to come on strong, lots of posts when they're introduced and then they kind of fade out. Look at the commenters on their blog posts, is it mostly guest and other bloggers, or members of the forum?

Maybe you guys want it this way, which is why I wasn't going to comment further.

@looch: I've had this reflection, too! Last year sometime, I tried starting a board post that connected to a blog post I had written but I wondered if maybe it felt too strong/redundant when people could comment on the post? So I didn't do it again. But I am one of the people who feels more awkward jumping in to the boards now, as someone who was a 'reader' of the blog and boards pre-blogging and am not sure how to 'jump' in at this point Maybe I'll try more!
